Marty and the Superlatives lay down Back To The Country. Check out Marty, Connie, The Superlatives, Eddie Stubbs and Leroy Troy each week on the RFD-TV network. 7PM Central, 8 Eastern
marty and the superlatives, the best band ever, so tight, kenny and marty two best guitarists in the world. and what an excellent mandolin player marty stuart is.
Marty and his band came to UK in feb 2011 the steel player wasn't there unfortunately but what a great show, they did some awesome bluegrass harmonies which just blew me away. The drummer Harry Stinton has a great voice so to has Paul Martin on bass, Kenny Vaughan on lead guitar and vocals wow ! great band Paul Martin reminds me of Don Rich great harmonies and a perpetual smile !
Marty Stuart is keeping real country alive. He changes this from a whiny, nasal piece of crap from a folk rock hack and truly goes back to the country.
To the guy about 8 post down...That tele your looking at was once "Mick Ronsons" from David Bowie...Alot of hits in the past from that guitar... And yes he does play a old tube screamer...but with his twins not his princeton... I've played his though his rig... He also has a collection of amps that would dazzle your mind... He is COUNTRY...The last of the original era... Kenny is also the equal kickass rockabilly cat... Go see them in concert..Its the next best thing to Zappa plays Zappa...
I would agree that Nashville has become a beautiful people factory, which is why you haven't seen anyone like Marty Stuart or Rodney Crowell or others with a so called hit lately. I personally never listen to "country " radio but there is alot of good old traditional stuff being played down on Broadway each day. Wow, I said all that without offending anyone who happens to be gay, jewish, or from Arkansas. By the way, I love Buck, and Willie Cantu, his drummer still plays clubs on Broadway.
@19Truth53 If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything @ all, please. Marty Stuart just happens to be one of the greatest guitar players in any genre of music, plus he just happens to be the ultimate country music performer, & historian of country music. He was born to do this!!
The Opry is great, but a full Marty Stuart show is better! Hope you can get there to hear it in person sometime. Marty loves this music and won't "call it quits" until he dies.
Miles Davis made JAZZ cool. Ray Charles merged R&B with Gospel. Johnny Cash invited Marty Stuart into country history. What does Marty say? 2:10 "Yes Sir!"
Cool is absoulutely right...It's nice that Marty Stuart is keeping the country flame alive...People like Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw make me want to puke!!!
No, I don't give anyone ORDERS & I do not appreciate such a rude remark! I am 61 yrs old, plus a concert promoter, so I know a little about music & performers! Eric Clapton nor Jeff Beck would take exception to my remarks about Marty. They both have respect for him.Neither would Dwight Yoakum or Buck Owens.Who gives a "shit" about Marty's historian credentials? I do, plus so does anyone that knows anything about music in any genre.Yes, he could have tenure @ Vanderbilt U because he is that smart!
I know Marty Stuart played the mandolin with Lester Flatt, but how long has it been since he's played it? Besides he looked like a hippy back then too...Why do you think Lester Flatt sang "I Can't The Boys From The Girls". Just cause he started out playing Bluegrass doesn't mean he can't end up playing an electrified thingamajig with a bunch of other punks.
yes great song great pickin.Hey yall if you want to check out my Wolverton Mountain video where I sang it to Clifton Clowers himself on his 101st birthday.
Well, I don't appreciate your BUTTINSKI appearance out of nowhere, Sparky. And I'm 57 years old and a multi-talented musician in a working band, so I pretty much know what I'm talking about, TOO! I'm sure Clapton, Beck, Yoakum, and Owens (rest his soul) appreciate your baseless assumptions as to what they think and don't think. I'm so very glad you just LOVE Stewart's supposed "historical knowledge," but I'll pit my 87 year old MOTHER's musical knowledge against poofy-hair Marty's any day.
If I had a quarter for every guy like @19Truth53 that anonimously makes claims to being "a multi-talented musician" but doesn't give the details, I'd retire. What band are you in? Ever sell a record or play anywhere we've heard of?
This is my all time favorite Marty tune and is a "Make You Feel Good Song" , so let's "Get Back to the Country" and "Make America Great Again" 🥳 🇺🇸
written by one of my favorites neil young. performed by my all time, love him, respect him, #1 singer/performer/musician in the world! Marty!!
Great song, highlights of Buck and Cash just really show Marty's love of COUNTRY music 👏👏👏❤
marty and the superlatives, the best band ever, so tight, kenny and marty two best guitarists in the world. and what an excellent mandolin player marty stuart is.

@fenderman0463 You got that right, buddy!

Nope, a silverface 70s Fender. Deluxe for Marty, Princeton for Kenny Vaughan.

Oh yeeeees, don't "offend" anyone, for God's sake. There's than "new" 'Nashville' trash coming through.
