I picked up my first smart watch a couple of months ago, the Series 9 45mm Apple Watch, so along with my iPhone 14 my EDC now consists of two items 😊.

I’ve been thinking of getting away from the Apple Watch as well. Having a device always subconsciously screaming your name to look at it isn’t something I want on my wrist 24/7. Great video man!

For the display scratching from the ring, I rommend wearing it on your middle finger instead of index finger, helped me a ton :) also started using a screen protector because of this issue :D

Oh, definitely getting a couple of those AirTag holders. My main gripe with most of them is that they add so much length to the AirTag so it flops all over the place, but this looks super-compact.

I'd like to give you and your community two great product tips from german startups, which I'm quite sure you'd like:
- Lockcart wallet: a small wallet with a bunge of features and add ons, so its absolutly customizable for everyones individual needs
- OneMate: a backpack company founded by some german engineers, who wanted to create the most useful backpacks - and imo they did :) there are different sizes for diffferent needs and also a lot of modular add ons to keep your stuff well organized
Maybe this is something for some of you :)

Iove my XE4 and no camera (iPhone or Samsung) can beat the quality.... Make sure you look at fuji X weekly and dial in some recipees to take it to the next level if your not already 😉
I gave up carrying my cameras 3yrs ago and only using smartphones. Now, I missed just going out with my film, digital, cameras, and bought just one. I picked up the XS20 with a prime and 18-55, never picking up my phone unless for a call. I missed the simplicity and minimalist of the past. Having just a camera is so much better.

You have great taste in watches. My first watch was a black dial Seiko solar and it has the most sentimental value because it was the first watch I ever purchased and I bought it in Japan. My dream watch would have to be an Omega Seamaster.

How did you get your app icons to sit on the bottom right side like that?
Re: the X-E4, maybe just pick a lens that gives you something that the iphone can't do, a 35mm equivalent with decent depth of field / bokeh, or something with manual focus only, and then leave that on, rather than getting too into the weeds with it. Maybe it'll feel less like work.

Loved the video! I'm currently carrying an iPhone 13 mini, an iPad Air 5th Gen, recently an M1 MacBook Air, 1st Gen AirPod Pro's, Apple Watch Series 8. As a student this combo creates an amazing workflow, with everything syncing to iCloud etc.. it's ideal. The Fujiflm X-E4 looks really nice tho, and considering I am not planning on upgrading my phone anytime soon I might have to look into that.

For Fuji consider the X70, quite compact and all the benefits of the Fuji world. Nice when you want to enjoy and lean into a photo walk

@@ByteReview The Ricoh GRs are interesting but I couldn’t not have that aesthetic of the Fuji. Practically speaking, and functionality, the GR III is likely the better option, but it’s also more expensive in the second hand market. *sigh

Honestly I agree, but I also think that we should make current smart watches better alongside it
It’s a matter a preference. I keep things I use for work front and center on my watch so I can glance down in the field.
But yeah the rings are cool. I wanna try one.

The Apple Watch is more of an emergency backup communication device for me should I ever be separated from my phone. The 2nd Gen. AirPod Pros are really nice but they become uncomfortable in my ears after 30 minutes or so, so when I’m sitting at a desk/table anytime, I use a Beats Studio 3 which I really like.
Yeah I get that about the Apple Watch, some of my friends with kids echo your comments! I think I'm lucky with the airpods cause I can wear them for hours with no discomfort
I got an IPhone 14 Pro. But battery life is just appalling as we all know. Is the 15 pro an upgrade? Or not that much?

It’s kind of funny. The 2 things in this video you seem to dislike the most (The Every Day Backpack & the Steam Deck) are probably my 2 favorites “gadgets” I own. 😂

@@ByteReview Regarding the Steam Deck it’s kind of magical that you can play your entire Steam library handheld as well as emulating almost all the good old consoles. And when you dock it you have a full Linux PC available. I have paired mine with the official dock and an Apple 24 Cinema Display. It’s kind of the perfect setup because the Cinema Display works directly with the dock with a mini DisplayPort adapter. And speakers are built in to the display.

You do realise you don't NEED to change lenses on your X-E3 right? You can just leave the one lens on it all the time then you'll have the same experience as an x100v...
I am aware. The fact that it can though always keeps me constantly thinking about which lens to use and what other looks I could get etc. It's not a bad problem to have by a long stretch

Switch to the better samsung eco system, and you can download all the emulator games on that instead. One less item to carry, and we all know samsung is better than Apple 😊
