- I wanted to go for a drive around town and I figured it would be cool to shoot a POV and see what it looks like to be in the cockpit so here it is.

Man, a car like this would be my coping mechanism. there's something about early 2000's gm that just makes me happy.

Amazing video! This really makes me miss my Corvette! From May of 2005 until October of 2011, I owned an amazing Electron Blue, 2003 C5 Corvette Z51 Targa MN6 with the 1SC Pkg, Both Tops Roof Pkg, 12-Disc CD Changer, etc etc... I bought it at the Chevy dealer with 18,400 miles. It was like new in & out, with a clean carfax. The dealer said the original owner decided to order a new 2006 C6 Z51 Targa Corvette after trading in this '03 that I bought. Whats worse is that its a 2000 which means you cant resolder it like you can on a 2001 and up.
@@MrLSX yeah I'm avoiding buying a 2000 and below just bc of that issue. What are your plans to fix it?
@@swiftripper7557 Nothing. C5 is my racecar and I never use TC with my tire setup. No ABS doesn’t worry me since I know how to adjust braking. Most I’ll do is if I find a module that works and isn’t over priced, but if not, I’m ok. I plan on doing a stand alone and dash update on the future so that will take care of that.

@@MrLSX Curious, how did you learn to properly handle a rwd car, especially the vette? I bought one a few months back that was left in storage a lot of its life, and ended up spinning out into a ditch (though a lot was likely due to having 12 year old dry rotted tires in the cold and wet since I was not quick enough to get a replacement set in the three days I had owned it). I disabled traction control as well which was also a completely idiotic move in hindsight. Anyways, seeing you go wot with no traction control freaks me out because I'm paranoid I'm going to spin out and ruin my c5 again. Any tips to learn how to properly control it?

Whats the wheel hub and quick release you are using?
It’s an NRG short hub with a NRG 2.5 Carbon Fiber QR mated to a Sparco 360 Suede wheel.
