Dr. Daskalakis is the Acting Director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, deployed from his position as the Director of the Division of HIV Prevention in the National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention at CDC. I'm so glad someone asked me this question. I've been wanting to talk about this.
Especially, as we approach summer fun time, it's a really good time to do a quick, you know, kick the tires, check the oil, and…on that list should be an mpox vaccine.
Remember two doses of mpox vaccine. We want to get that force field up all the way to level ten, no halfway protection. So, if you haven't gotten your mpox vaccine, make sure you run and get it.
If you haven't gotten your second dose, it's never too late.
If we get on top of it, we are going to not only protect our health, we’re also going to protect our summer fun.
