ഹി ഹി 😂😂 !! ഞാൻ ഇതേപോലെ ആദ്യമായി ഒരു Gala dinner ന് പോയപ്പോൾ ഭക്ഷണം ശരിക്കും മുതലാക്കാമെന്ന് കരുതി വയർ വാടകയ്ക്കെടുത്താണ് പോയത്. അന്ന് മീറ്റ് Turkey ആയിരുന്നു. നല്ല Hard ഉം. കത്തി വെച്ച് മുറിക്കാൻ പറ്റാഞ്ഞിട്ട് ലാസ്റ്റ് ആരോ മുറിച്ചിട്ട ഒരു ചെറിയ കഷണം തിന്നു നിർവൃതി അടയേണ്ടി വന്നു, പിന്നെ കേറേ പച്ചിലേം. 🤣

After many years, I hear once again about table manners and etiquette. In our early seminary days, we were taught these things,as the part of formation. I was born and brought up in an agrarian family of travancore, till the age of fifteen. After the formation of long twelve years, I am what I am today and serving the society in my own capacity. I don't want to, put down the Indian society and culture. There are many good elements to be admired from our culture. Similarly, there are very good manners to be learned and followed from the western society as well. Table manner is one among them. Along with the eating style, perhaps you can touch few more behavioural aspects too. Eventually you may introduce, the civic sense and respect to the public goods of the westerners for the Indian viewers.

This is so interesting! Maggie is showing the usage of fork in a very American way. You may notice that English etiquette is to not cut steak or any food into small portions before eating. They cut the food into small portions as they eat and never move the fork to right hand. In the US it is a “cut and switch” etiquette. My amma taught me how to use fork & spoon in Kerala in the British way. But when I came to the USA; I was very confused with how Americans were switching to right hand (or dominant hand).
I was Kind of wondering why to cut the food from the table while eating..we could have done it before serving.. . But it's interesting etiquette...
Yeah it's because some people doesn't prefer left hand for eating
I experienced this problem during my stay in the US. I used to order food which can be taken using spoon or fork 😂 Otherwise I had to satisfy myself eating salad and dessert 😭😀
@@vishnup1447 Food is served hot. And when we cut and eat hot, the juice flows and it is delicious to eat. If we let the cook cut it then it becomes cold. Imagine doing that in a busy restaurant. More over each person can choose to cut what they like.
