So many great tips in one video! I always thought about zenithal priming with black & a metallic color, but never tried it. I'll definitely have to give it a go. Thomas is a great painter!

I was not thinning enough dry rust looks like :D
Well, this is just one way of using Dry Rust - You can use it without thinning it, but this way works really well for army painting :)
@@coltaupainting1588 unthin it is too bright and opaq for me, so I was doing darker brown layer/spots/coffee stains for it. Here used as wash is really a quick weathering effect, compared to building rust colors layers and then finishing with it to have texture.

Holy shit! You guys need more of this! Give us more tutorials also more on the high level stuff! Show us what your paints really can do. See, these fast painting methods are good and all. But this tutorial for exemple lures me in. Now I am keen to go to my local hobby store and maybe give your whole range a try. Not just a view paints.

Probably blue tack or some other putty.
