Easy pin up hairstyles are a necessity in my life. If you want to learn 9 ways to tie a headscarf to make sure that you look your very best then check out this video!
Trying a Friday upload to see if more people get to see my video - currently only about 1% of my subscribers seem to be watching - I know I’ve been away for a long time, changed my name and all that jazz but still, it doesn’t seem like a lot.
It’s certainly heading into hat season and a decent scarf is just about as good (if not better sometimes I would say) - The amount of hair horrors you can cover up with a good scarf is off the scale
You will see in this video that you don’t need any particularly snazzy scarf to do these do’s or a massive amount of skill - just the will!
Whether you’re going for a specifically 1940’s, 1950’s or 1960’s look these scarves have you covered, rockabilly, classic or pinup there’s a scarf style for everyone.
As always let me know if you try a style and send me pictures so I can share your talent with my subbies!

Hair isn't the most important thing in the world but, sometimes knowing you have a super cool 'do' can make you smile and that can only be a good thing right?
Welcome to Fitfully Vintage, here, in my own litttle corner of CZcams I will show you how to create beautiful hairstyles from all eras. Sure, my main focus is on simple vintage hairstyling but I also love easy modern styles.
I don't have a favourite era, it changes all the time. One day it'll be Edwardian hairstyles that I'm all over, the next, pinup girl hair, the next I'll be all about Greek Goddesses and their crazy Barnets! I just love it all!
I do hope that you enjoy my videos and that you can learn something from them, even just a tiny bit - and even if you learn nothing I hope that they make you smile.

Tell me, which do you prefer - hat, beret or hairscarf?
Love hats but have a ridiculously sized head, so lean towards hairscarfs more as they fit!
Haha! Brilliant. Hats can be so unpredictable thought right?
I love hats but there not always practical so I wear berets in the winter but more often than not hairscarfs because I have many, they're easy and they're versatile.
Hats but it also depends on what l am doing. I wear more hats in the winter months.
And... do you keep your beret on indoors or take it off like a hat?
Lovely! Love wearing headscarves and head wraps
Makes a bad hair day into a good hair day. Plus I just love pretty fabric adorning my hair.
I always wondered how these styles were done. Thanks for showing how easy they are!
Lovely! Loved all the styles! Thank you!❤️
Thanks for the video! Very interesting!
I'm so glad that you're back on CZcams...we have missed you!
Oh sweet Jennifer! Thank you 💕
All these videos, I am LIVING!
You are an absolute star. 🌟
All so cute, but 6 and 7 are my favorite!
I’m glad you like them 💕
I love your videos they are informative and funny!!! All the styles looked gorgeous! ❤️❤️ and your hair omggg amazing! 🤩🤩
Thank you so much!
Hairscarf. I love it when I do housework. Keep my hair clean.
They go good with a beehive hairdo do and hair rollers.
Yes! Great for keeping dust out of your hair and protecting sets. Thank you 😊
Would you be able to take measurements of the square just so we know how big your square is? I love the idea of just taking pretty fabric and turning it into a scarf, but worried about making it too big or small?
It’s about a metre square x
@@FitfullyVintage what is that
@@Mistysfedora about 39 or 40 inches
@@Mistysfedora I would not ask my hairstylist to teach me math. Google is your friend. 🤷♀️
Natalie these are wonderful!! Thank you so much! I think I'll try to get some material to make my own head scarf in the October break and can then expand my repertoire of head scarf looks. Wonderful video!!
Ahh, you’re too gorge Nicola. Thank you...counting down to that break - 18 days 😂
I love your hairstyle.
Thank you.
You are absolutely gorgeous! And I loveeeee your accent! You sound so sweet! I love your channel and I plan to try some of these hairstyles
Thank you so much! 💕
You are so adorable ! X
verrrry pretty! well, I need to buy some fabric now I guess :)
Thank you 💕Yaaaaas! Do it
I love that you can make fun of mistakes! Gained a subscriber
Asesomd video natalie thanks soo much. I just need a cotton scarf now-where to get easily online? Will see if high street shops have cotton scarves ithis big guess a stiff cotton is better right? Rather than a cotton blend that is slippy or silk...
Yes, definitely, for this kind of style a thicker cotton type scarf would work better than a shiny one. You should be able to find one quite easily on the high street - primark and H&M spring to mind. 😊
Nice video, thanks! Where did you get your poodle hair piece? I have tried to google it but I haven’t found anything like it.
Ohh I like your extras that you use. My hair is very red and there’s no “hair pieces” in my color. Ha ha ♥️ 🧑🏻🦰
Please share some of anybody knows
Intro cute af lol
Lisa Scales haha, thanks.
What size was your square of material? Thx
Probably just under a metre square - quite large.
@@nataliekingsbury4340 Thanks
Fantastic video! Hairscafves are a girl's best friend...at the last minute. And everyone thinks you're so chic. Using the hair rat for the beehive was spectacular! I'll be sporting that look tomorrow night. Thank you so much!
No Problem! Yes, people say things like, 'OMG how long did that take you?' they don't realise it's quicker than anything else! I'm sure you'll look gorge tomorrow night - have fun!
On another note: Are those bakelite bangles? Would love a vintage jewelry video! xx
These ones aren’t. They are ‘fakelite’ from Splendette
What are the measurements of this scarf?
How on earth do you keep your scarfs from sliding off the back of
Your head 😂 Bobby pins put in backwards helps but still by the end of the day i can look pretty crazy
I don’t have a secret I’m afraid, I usually put a couple around or under the knot at the front as well as a couple behind the ears. 😊
I have had a burning question since watching many of these videos. Yeah, don't mind me, I'm just that weird person who overthinks things time and again.
If you go on a date with these hairstyles and then get intimate with your date, what happens to your hair? Do you try to keep your bandana and your beehive and all until you kiss him goodbye? Do you go to the bathroom first thing and mess up your hair to switch to a bed head look? Do you frantically try to redo your hair to a more touchable style?
All these styles are fabulous but they don't seem to be very compatible with dating, if you see what I mean. 😉 I like to be classy, and I have a rule of thumb: don't ever let a man see behind the scenes, keep the mystery of how you magically turned into a beauty queen to yourself. Even at home, if there is a guy there, I will do my hair and makeup behind closed doors, for this reason and also for intimacy with myself (my eyeliner application face is not pretty). This is why I try to avoid having any foreign objects in my hair, so that if someone touches my pomp like some mesmerized guy squeezed it the other day, stuff is all real (I am probably doing fine, his hand didn't get stuck, he didn't pull out any surprises and my pomp bounced right back to where it was before he touched it). This is why I learn to do everything the hard way and do rolls without hair rats. How do you avoid things like accidentally poking his eye out with a bobby pin?
You might do a tutorial on hair styles that are touchable when you get intimate, and how to turn your hairstyles into touchable intimate versions in a pinch. You must have some tricks for this, share them please! Like how do you undo in thirty seconds the rockabilly roll without looking weird once it's undone?

@@FitfullyVintage i thought of pillow fights and sleep overs...too cute! 😊
if Liv Tyler and Bernie Dexter had a baby
oooh, very kind :)
Actually, Natalie is much prettier than Bernie Dexter as far as I'm concerned, especially since Natalie's beauty is much more natural. Have you ever seen Bernie without makeup or with only a bit of makeup like Natalie does hers? There is a reason why you haven't. 😉
And this is why I love watching Natalie's videos: how everything is so genuine about her. The most artificial she ever gets is when she uses hair rats. 😂
can't hear you !!! Turn the volume up
Sorry you’re having problems - the volume seems to be pretty standard on both my iPhone and laptop with and without headphones.
The volume on this one seems to have issues for me as well. Speakers or headphones are your best friend for this one. Natalie has a few other videos where the volume is off, but most of them are fine.
OMG, who has the time for this? Half of the time I don't even comb my hair.I don't know how women used to find time for all this back then.
Hint: they didn't go to work. They were housewives. These were the hairstyles they did just to go to the groceries or to pick up the kids from school. And that is where all that pressure on women to look their best at all times comes from, which we have kept as a tradition, even though it doesn't fit with out lifestyles anymore. Back then, women had time to invest in looking their best. They were expected to, because everyone knew they had the time.
The real reason I have long hair is because I don't have to invest time in styling it. I keep my nails fairly short for the same reason, and only paint my toe nails because toe nails don't get near the dishes so I can get away with doing them only once every ten days. I leave my eyebrows natural and inspect my eyebrows every day as part of my morning routine to tweeze a couple of hairs to keep them neat, because I really don't have time to "do" my eyebrows. Every time I meet a high maintenance woman, I know that either she doesn't work much or she spends all her free time beautifying herself, which seems to me to be a boring life. Call me judgmental, but there is no way a working woman who also has a life would have time for all that stuff.
I have been increasingly making an exception for hair, because hairstyles have the greatest impact on your looks. Investing time into styling your hair pays off much more than investing time in nails, makeup and suchlike.
@Gomba13 yikes. You think ebery woman who tales care of herself either doesn't work or spends all her free time doing it? Wrong. I work 40-50 hours a week, on my feet the entire time. I choose to keep my nails, hair, and makeup done when I leave the house or go to work. I wear vintage hair, makeup, and clothing basically exclusively. It takes me 20-30 minutes to do my hair, make up, and get dressed. That's less than most people take to get ready for work. I also have 10 pets to take care of with 2 disabled, a grandbaby and a house full of people and "a life." Saying women who choose to take care of themselves don't work or spend all their time primping and don't have a life is about as moronic as if I were to say women who choose to not take care of themselves are lazy. Nearly every woman and man I know works long hours, has a life and chooses to take care ifnthemswlces without a single problem. They also don't look down their noses at people who choose not to. Yes, you're incredibly judgmental.
@Inglorious Betch- well said. Also, wet sets are faster for me than using a curling iron.
