I see the comments and am a bit surprised. I actually like what I have seen from Locklear up to this point. He has had some good at bats and already shows more bat speed than France. I can definitely see the upside with Locklear as the hits he does have were absolute rockets. Defensively he hasn't cost us anything whatsoever. He is going to be a good one at the major league level whether it is here or somewhere else.
Marines need both in line-up together.
I'm skeptical but if he does well then he does well. At this point what exactly do we have to lose? The offense can't exactly get much worse and if he can give the lineup a little added cushion, then I fully embrace his call up. If he does poorly, then send him to Tacoma with the added experience of X amount of bats in the majors.
Absolutely he is the first basemen of the future. He has raked at every single level. Got a hit in 3 of 4 games. He is going to be good if they don't give up on him when France is back. Unfortunately, they love their short powerless 1B

Tyler Locklear also plays third base he was moved over to first base is what I heard. So he could go back to third base and help there.
There is a reason most people are moved off a position. Locklear is well below average at 3B.

Time to make a couple moves or these pitchers will begin struggling mentally

How much? So far not much... We're missing France.
He looks a little bit overwhelmed at the plate in most of his at bats. I like his upside, but so far, I am not seeing his ceiling as high, much less any higher than France. There's still a lot of time though.
Locklear is probably not ready for the show .......small sample sizes fool so many. Locklear is a nice looking prospect.....but I would imagine he will struggle at this time.
