20HP, 9,000 RPM Engine Build! 88MPH Kart Pt. 3

- čas přidán 10. 06. 2018
- We’re building an 88mph back to the future inspired go kart from the American Express 2.0 go kart kit from Go Power Sports. To achieve 88mph, we need a very powerful engine, which is why we’re building a hemi head Predator 212cc engine with really high performance and brand new engine mods, like a 24mm flat slide carburetor, elongated billet rod, oversized valves, and more. We’re taking this popular 212cc 6.5 horse power go kart engine and making it turn 9,000 RPM and put out about 20 horse power.
Thanks for Watching!

"Opened her up and smoothed her out"... Id buy that tshirt. ;)
LoL
As an engine builder.. you need to know that the aluminum rod will expand when it heats up, about twice as much as a steel rod. Measure your deck clearance at TDC after you assemble everything to make sure the piston wont smack into the head. I'm sure the maker of the rod will have a recommendation, but on the engines I build, aluminum rods usually need .060 to survive... CC your head, and piston, so you can calculate your compression. Will let you know how much room you have to wiggle.
How would I do this? Would I adjust the valvelash to a different spec? Please get back to me as I’m interested in making a high rpm engine build
Love the little transitions you do when you go places
Isaac,s girlfriend just giggled a little at the end of the porting section
What time
if you cant work it out you probably dont need to know LOL
rob burdack no I'm just lazy
fingers does usually open her up hahahaha
skrewy lewy No joke so true
I really enjoy watching you guys do mods to these small engines. None of which I've ever tried. Now however if I was so enclined to do so, I'd feel more comfortable doing them.
Keep up the fantastic informative/educational help video's!!! 😊
Wow! Go Power Sports should really bundle all these engine parts together to make an ultimate performance package! I would love something like this for my go kart
I see channels like this installing the kits, but I totally agree they should make signature kits designed and tested by them. It would be a great partnership.
I realy like the post-commentary. It gives more time to thevideos and makes the building parts more exiting.
This new build style where we get to watch how you do everything is AWESOME! The explanation and speed were perfect. Hope to see more detailed builds like this!
I can't wait to see this engine running. Great video guys
Mini Bike Addict216 yeah I'm stoked to see if they hit 90 or better. Here's to hoping!
That little crankshaft is so cute lol
I love the voice over it allows you guys to keep working without stopping every 2 seconds
thank you for having proper audio levels during the voice over. i dont know why so many people have trouble with that part but you nailed it.
*IT'S HEAD TIME*
If you ever decide to build another amphibious go-kart or maybe a Predator powered paddle-wheeler/stern-wheeler boat I might be willing to give you my 1974 Boston Whaler 13' boat (w/title) if you would use it for the channel.
Could become a cool little river boat to travel from Washington, NC to Greenville, NC and back? Just a thought...
thats my area n.c.
Dude this is the nicest build yet
I dig the editing cuts you guys keep putting out better and better content 👌🏼👌🏼 love you two!

Y'all are really stepping up your game with the transitions between shots.
Lol how did it take this long for you guys to get a torque wrench
6:33
dont you get it ? ill be fine.. and then some broken engineblocks later they changed mind xD
They still don't have one. They bought 12-point sockets^^
me and my brother dont have on and he just bought a cylinder for his 2stroke moped 1 week ago now its lost its power
you did a top end rebuild without a torque wrench, dumb fucks
Now this is the kinda videos I really like to see you guys doing!! Great work so far

that exhaust port is beautiful :O

That was misleading Ike building us up for the valve job with John just to have him close the video.
i had build up problems last night
great flow work on the 212 head !!!!!!!!!!
Looks like one wicked predator. Can't wait to hear the rpm hit 9k!
Hey guys, big fan. Love your videos. Just want to point out that there are dramatic differences on torque specs with wet or dry bolt threads. Torque specs are generally dry unless specified. If you use provided torque specs, it is intended for dry threads, no lube or thread lock. If you use those specs with wet (lubricated or thread lock) threads, you can over torque the threads. Keep making great videos. You've brought life back to my love for go karts.
That exhaust port polishing with a finger, just gold.
I can’t wait a week for the next episode!!!
The engine is looking nice guys. Keep up the good work
Cant wait to see it run. Im so excited.

Love watching you guys, really wish I had the time to do what you guys do. Seen an off road cart here like the redone you guys have for 200 but they said it needs lots of work. If your looking for more carts ill pass it along to you guys. Good luck with this build I nearly cried when Isaac's motor blew on the other cart. Sorry for the loss.
Looking forward to the next video
Omg I was waiting for this video
104 views in 34 seconds. Geeezzzzz !!!!! Lol
no one:
john "these are nice clutches" breaks clutch lmao
I used the polish wheel and compound from my Dremel to polish. That makes for a mirror finish!
camjamsdad correct. That's all I polished was the exhaust.
Nice want to see it done
Awesome 😎
We want more videos weeklyyyyyyy! Please I’m needing more vids
Great explaination IKEA rough intake port for maximum turbulence keeps fuel in suspension. Smooooth exhaust for maximum velocity and scavenge effect during over lap.
Please explain compression release?
Great job can't wait for next one?!
Much improved video production
