First off, RIP Eddie Van Halen, I can not tell you how sad I am at his passing, such a legendary guitarist. Now I am so glad we got Kanami to take up the mantle! Love Band Maid!

Master Holloway's comments are almost always tongue in cheek, so they're more along the lines of "Sh!tty Movie Details" (i.e. funny but inevitably incorrect details) except, you know, this isn't about movies. I dunno, man, maybe I was drinkin' this morning or something.
Actually there are MANY of their studio versions that don’t sound as good as their live stuff. Plus with 92 songs, you can see which songs they don’t have on CZcams and add them to your Spotify playlist without affecting what you could possibly react to. And 3 tracks to come in December and another full album (12 to 15 tracks?) to come in January!

100%! Just checked it out and yea, idk, i feel like the vocals are dulled down and sounds sound a little muddy? The Live version was INSANELY good. Not sure who mixed/mastered it but they didnt quite do it justice.
Great reaction. My guess is you're talking about "Puzzle" live at the end there, which I also prefer over the studio version for my playlist. If you can get your hands on Awkward live (I think from the same show as the Puzzle and Moratorium live you reacted to), it's another beautiful Band Maid composition that not many people have reacted to and that I prefer over the studio version (it's actually one of their fewer ballad-type tunes). Awkward is another masterpiece of songwriting to me (like Yolo - Yolo mv is posted on their YT channel and is an interesting song as one of the band's earliest compositions (Kanami wrote it prior to Band Maid's formation)).
"Liberal" and "Screaming" almost never get reacted to so I vote for one of those. A lot of reactors comment on the frustration of having to hold off listening to songs, but Band-Maid has so many you could put some older, more obscure ones on your Spotify list; if a video gets posted in the future it'll be live and different anyway and there are no lame 'Maid songs. I mean even their handwashing tutorial rocks.

I don't know where y'all are located but they played in Dallas last year on September 28th. Babymetal played Dallas September 24th. You could've seen both bands live!! They also played in NYC and LA.
Hello Aldo. I saw Band-Maid on September 30th last year at the Echoplex. I saw the Who and Liam Gallagher on the 9th of October in San Francisco and l saw Tool, Korn and Babymetal here in Sacramento at Aftershock on October 13th. Aftershock was a 10 minute walk from my front door. I like Babymetal. But l am a slightly deranged fanboy when it comes to the very best hard rock band working anywhere on the planet today. There is simply nothing to compare with Band-Maid. Regards.

But comparing one band to another, especially when they're different genres, is like comparing bananas and watermelons. One's metal, one's hard rock, and the other is punk. You can like all 3 for completely different reasons. Let's just say, Japan has been putting out some of the most fantastic music in the last 10 years, and we are lucky when we get to see them perform in the US. Although BiSH hasn't yet performed outside of Japan.

In the MV Tomorrow they come across like a Band-Maid type band. I love the orchestration. And seeing them with a Symphony and other musicians would be awesome. I like My Landscape. But understand Band-Maid is simply in a category all unto themselves for me. Enjoy the music. Anything else is juvenile. Especially when most of these bands know and like each other. That true, the mixing on some of their live performances is superior to their studio recordings. Particularly their earlier albums. The low-end frequencies is overly bloomy on Brand New Maid and Just Bring It albums, even though Just Bring It is a favorite of mine (aaaarrrgghh someone needs to remaster this). 😢
All CD from Japan are compressed. Almost no exceptions. When the band turns the masters over to the record company those masters are now the property of the record company. They could release the music recorded backwards if they wanted. Band-Maid. Who knows? Maybe one day Band-Maid will be big enough for their own record label like the Beatles or Led Zeppelin. Regards.
This song has my favorite Kanami solo, it says so much on regards to her melodic approach and shows her technical abilities. I think the live version was better in that instance, largely due to how they were feeding off of the energy of the crowd. So that extra surge of adrenaline gave them all that extra boost that wasn't there for the studio session. Of course if I knew the song of which you speak, that might make it easier to narrow in on what made it better.
I think there is only "Rinne" which I like more as a studio version. All other songs which I did hear live, sound better to me than the studio version. Well there are for sure different opinions, but I never have heard a better Live band in my life than them....maybe Pink Floyd on the Pulse Tour.
Ikribu That’s because the only live Rinne vid is a shortened version for a Japanese TV show. We’ll undoubtedly get a good live version if COVID ever allows live shows.

I was a bit sad/dissapointed, but luckily CustomForge now has a liveversion of 'Freedom' in their database for a week.😉
Yea it was def Freedom. And yea, i think i have my cam on auto focus/auto exposure, so when we move around and cause minor lighting changes it tries to adjust. I'm gonna have that turned off for next weeks videos and see if that fixes it!

Hi guys, yeah! I second that. Probably should start with Alip Ba Ta Bohemian Rhapsody finger style cover. He is a Indonesian guitarist. Who plays finger style. He has many more great covers. Including, Black or White (Michael Jackson), Hotel California (Eagle's). Also has some originals. He is very good. Anyway, I'm loving the Band-Maid reactions. Like you, I'm new to these ladies. But, dang! They are so good!!! Usually bands have at least one dodgy song. But, every song from Band-Maid has been amazing. I've not heard one bad song. The only thing I would like is that they put up subtitles or something so we can see the lyrics. Still, they're musicianship is fantastic.

Puzzle studio version isn't too bad. I relooked and i'd say the stuiod version of Freedom is very dull compared to live.

I got 3 bandmaid mp3 Studio CDs. Studio version feel like the vocal is suppressed compared to live. 🤣
