    I'm one of the fortunate ones. They pretty much leave me alone. I'll even see it on me and just brush it off or blow it away. However my daughter gets eaten and I want a natural solution because we are going camping. After watching many vids, I'm going to try this LEMON, pure vanilla with no sugar and no alcohol and actually this has been my natural perfume for years. I go on a date smelling like a vanilla cupcake. who can resist. I'm also going to pick up some peppermint oil and lavender. My daughter refuses to use apple cider vinegar, haha, but I bet that would repel EVERYTHING! lol Thanks for the vid. We also get many sand flies here.

      I drink a tablespoon of AVC in water daily. Not the best tasting, but good for you. Thanks for watching Sherri!

      @@electronicsNmore I know that it's so true that ACV is amazing for so many things and I did a detox with it once and drank it as you are talking about and I haven't been able to do it since, lol. I'm going to give it another try though because I have some packed to take with us. My daughter and I are leaving for a 2 month outdoor adventure in 3 days. Super excited.

    Your video sincerely came in the perfect timing. I almost lost hope fighting with these annoying creatures. I don't have lemon but have wild lemon ( the bitter one ) and I applied on my skin. It seems great too. So far so good, thanks

    I'll have to try this. I have read that lime juice on skin and sunlight don't go well together. I have use the spays with deet sometimes and they are like nerve gas to me. I have to have plenty of fresh air or they would do me in.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  Před 8 lety +3

      Hi Lloyd. You should not have to use lemon juice on your skin when the sun is out. The only time I use it is just before the sun goes down, or when working in wooded/shady areas during the day.

    Many years ago, I also lived in the Caribbean. The mosquitoes were all over me at first, but after a few weeks they generally left me alone. I heard that was a common phenomenon--your blood chemistry alters defensively to become less attractive to them. Did that happen for you? Thanks for the tip BTW--I will try it. I no longer have that natural defense.

    You have to take a bath for this to be effective. Those who dislike did not, that's why it didn't work for them.

    Someone told me to rub red wine over my skin to repel those dreaded mozzies but I've never done it. I didn't want to stink like an old wino. Lol.
    I'm terribly allergic to their bites. They just love me & will bite thru clothing & all. Then I'll get the most itchy swollen skin that only an antihistamine tablet can relieve. I live in fear of the dirty little bastards!
