This is my theory: Austin wrote this song on tour since he was missing Ally so much. Remember he was starting to write great songs after the episode “Tunes & Trials” and this was performed when he was on tour and always thinking about Ally. The lyrics make so much sense, “I’m going home and I’m coming to you, chasing the beat of my heart” “you and I, together again” “I’m following you, where you lead” “heading for all that I need” think about it, let it sink in.
