I always sit by the window, and usually end up with a young girl in the middle seat...eating sushi from the reduced-for-quick-sale basket at the airport convenience store. 🤮 It makes for a VERY long cross country or west coast to Hawaii trip. 🤨 Wonderful report....sorry about the salmon. 🎣🐟🐠
Shame you didn't get very good food. Last time I flew Finnair business class (end of 2022), the vegan meal was absolutely delicious (and a generous portion too.) And no champagne?? The champagne they usually serve is very good, but there's no point in flying business class if you don't get any champagne😢 I flew return economy class BER-HEL last week but seated right near the front - in December/January some of Berlin-Helsinki flights are operated by a cheap Danish company called DAT (I'd never heard of them before) and their aircraft was absolutely crap, the seats - including the business class - were worse than easyJet's. I felt really sorry for the passengers in business class, who paid a lot of money for such discomfort. And the food in the lounge at Helsinki airport wasn't as good as it used to be either. (I get to use the lounge as I'm OneWorld sapphire member.) All this is so sad, as I love Finnair, I hope this is just a temporary thing, as I will be flying business class again this year.

On longhaul it was all really good! So strange that they would cut costs so obviously, and on routes that have competition....
