@@ahmirdixon134 It's *partially* lost. Less lost than most things you think of when you hear "lost media", and Nick most likely still has it, but all the available recordings are from 2001 or earlier. By that I mean they're all fairly low quality, and many are incomplete.

On a Pretty Much It movie commentary track (and CZcams video on the PMI channel), Victorious’s Matt Bennett said his Kids Choice award blimp was a kaleidoscope. Not sure the exact year he won but after 2010. I believe it was their Rent movie commentary.

I can't believe the famous anime King of the Hill got a KCA nom. Also the day I realized the KCAs were a giant commercial was the day my childhood died, i remember feeling so bummed when i finally realized my vote didn't matter.

I very briefly shared a 9th class with Qaasim Middleton’s [Naked Brothers Band] little brother, and he used to brag about how cool the KCA afterparties were. I remember seething with envy, desperately wishing I too, had the amount of child clout needed to hang out with Katy Perry and Jack Black IRL. Anyways this is a great video, love yr stuff as per usual 👍

One of my favorite memories from the Kids Choice Awards is being mesmerized by Fergie’s Lego Dress at the 2011 KCA’s. That dress truly lives in my head rent free to this day.

The stage manager from that Dan Schneider KCA is from “You Can’t Do That On Television,” which is the same show that originated the slime.
If there's any host who embodies 'live action cartoon character' it is definitely Jack Black. Also yeah I am definitely sure at the time of the 2005 KCAs Trump was still hosting the Apprentice hence why he said his catchphrase from the show. Also woah, seeing a Dan Schneider show winning and the stars thanking Schneider has now given me very eew vibes.

my family was too broke for Nickelodeon when I was a kid but I acquired a large collection of Rugrats VHS tapes and Nick would advertise the KCA with a bunch of clips of people getting slimed and I thought it was so cool but I never got around to watching one so I really really loved and appreciate this video’s topic being covered in such extraordinary depth considering how much has been lost to time 🙏🏽
It's wild that The Monkees was voted for Favorite Music Group in the first awards! They were a 60s group with a TV show and then had reruns on MTV and Nickolodean's Nick @ Nite in the 80s 😂that group is flipping everywhere lol

I never watched the kids choice awards as a kid, but I knew OF them, and was always excited for them, despite never seeing them, interacting with them, or really knowing them in any real capacity.

I remember loving the kids choice awards especially when icarly and victorious were still on. Drake and Josh would usually win favorite tv show and after that it was icarly, I only remember victorious winning once or twice

i haven't seen the video yet, but i just wanted to share my Specific Memory of the kids' choice awards. i don't remember any of the winners or nominees, i don't remember any of the festivities surrounding it, BUT i do remember that jack black hosted it several times. i had literally never heard of jack black before he hosted the kids' choice awards, and i recall seeing all the "OH MY GOD GUYS IT'S JACK BLACK" promos for it and thinking "...literally why do we care, who is this man?" but i guess the overexposure to him made me go "yeah alright, i get it, this guy's cool as hell." he just has such good vibes !! and everything i learn about this man makes me think he's even cooler. knowing who jack black is now, though, just makes it very funny to look back on that time in my life when i was like "why should i care? he doesn't even go here!!"
