- The Secrets hotel in Puerto Calero is five-star and is the biggest hotel in Puerto Calero. It is set a little out from the main resorts but this hotel is just breathtaking.
The Secrets Lanzarote used to be called the Hesperia Lanzarote in Puerto Calero and the place just screams 5 stars. Jake was on holiday flying solo and is 18 years old what an incredible thing to do at such a young age. He showed me around the rooms at the Secrets Lanzarote hotel in Puerto Calero and they were amazing.

Lanzarote is the perfect island for solo holidays. It’s safe, it’s relaxed and (of course) there are loads of excursions that are ideal to enjoy on your own and chat with other holidaymakers. I’ve been doing solo holidays there for years (not quite as posh digs as Jake though 😊) and can’t wait to be there solo again in a couple of weeks!

Enjoyed that ! Thanks 👍 At the other end of the scale I have been an active senior solo traveller for some 8 years now in the Canaries - especially Lanz and Fuerte and love it! Back in Corralejo 12/4 for 4 weeks which will include some trips across to Playa Blanca where have stayed in many hotels + pdc. Have a liitle channel which seems to appeal to other senior solo travellers ! Might try and catch up with you if poss.
