Wakeworld segment on myself and my brother Cooper👇
Campbell and Cooper are the infamous brother and sister duo who ride at Orlando Watersports Complex every day after they're done with their schoolwork. Being home-schooled allows them, and a few other young riders, to spend a lot more time on the water than their counterparts and it shows.
Not only are the Scarboroughs committed to bettering themselves on and off the water, but they also do it with a great attitude toward others. Cooper has a really fun-to-watch buttery style on the water, while Campbell is improving faster than any other young female rider in the scene. Together they make a super fun brother-sister duo to ride with and we hope that this feature will get you that much more stoked to get back out on the water and try something new! Check it out...
WW: Age? Campbell: 15. Cooper: 17.
    WW: Years riding?
    Campbell/Cooper: 5
WW: How does being homeschooled help with your riding?
Campbell: It is so amazing because I can do school in the morning and then get to the cable before the after-school rush gets there. It also helps a ton with being able to take off to go to a comp.
Cooper: I have way more time to ride more, which is amazing.
WW: Favorite people to ride with?
    Campbell: All the homies, lol!
Cooper: Anyone that is at the cable while I'm at the cable.
WW: How is it to have your sibling love wakeboarding as much as you do?
Campbell: I love it. We are always talking about hits and creative ideas.
Cooper: It's awesome to always have a filmer and someone to always talk wake about.
WW: What are your plans for wakeboarding? How serious are you trying to make it?
Campbell: I really want to travel the world wakeboarding, competing in contests, filming and editing videos.
Cooper: My plan is to not take it too seriously
and to make lots of creative videos.
WW: Who's your favorite pro rider you look up to and why?
Campbell: I really have so many favorite riders and so many I look up to. A few of them are Lisa Baloo, Katinka Bouting, Anne Freyer, Sina and the rest of the Copycats Club, Sam Dehaan, Trever Maur, Trent Stuckey, Gavin Stuckey, Pedro Caldas, John Dreiling, my list really could go on forever. They all have different styles I appreciate.
Cooper: Sam Dehaan is one of my favorites, but I take inspiration from a ton of riders, especially snowboarders/skateboarders.
WW: Do you ever ride boat or just cable?
Campbell: Naw, just cable, but I’m always down for a chill boat set.
Cooper: Lol, mostly cable. I just enjoy it more.
WW: Top three favorite cable parks?
    Campbell: WestRock, Elevated and Turin
Cooper: Valdosta, Elevated, Liquid Leisure and WestRock...couldn’t stop at 3.
WW: Skinny stance or wide stance and why?
Campbell: I think for sure not wide stance, but I wouldn't want my boots touching each other. So I would say in the middle, but closer to skinny.
Cooper: Skinny stance. Wide stance don't stand a chance.
WW: Kickers or rails and why?
Campbell: I would go with rails because I think they are way more fun and they don’t hurt your knees as bad.
Cooper: Rails because they allow much more creativity and variety.
WW: Video parts or contest riding and why?
Campbell: That's so hard. Contests are what push me to progress and learn new tricks. I do love filming because you can do a trick a couple times to get the perfect hit or the perfect angle. If I have to pick one, I’ll go with contests because I love trying to ride the best I can and contest riding really pushes me to do that.
Cooper: Video parts because you have time to get what you want and video parts allow a place for you to get funky wit it.
    WW: Plans for the off-season?
Campbell: I would love to work on a full video and just progress a ton.
Cooper: There is no off-season in Florida!
WW: Plans for the next season?
Campbell: Travel to new parks and compete in a few new pro contests.
Cooper: Work on a full part and build some funky rails.
WW: Favorite comp of the year?
Campbell: Wake The City in Milan Italy. I was invited to ride with Lisa Baloo and loved it!
Cooper: WWA Wake Park World Championships in London.
WW: Favorite pastime other than riding?
Campbell: Watching wakeboard or snowboard edits, learning how to film and edit lol, hanging with friends.
    Cooper: Fishing, filming and editing
    WW: Favorite food, favorite drink?
Campbell: BBQ pulled pork and root beer.
Cooper: Blue Bell vanilla ice cream and sweet tea.
WW: If you had to go to a deserted island and could take three things with you, what would they be?
Campbell: A big tub of water, a big box full of food and an eFoil.
Cooper: A winch, a wakeboard and a camera.
    WW: Special thanks to anyone?
Campbell: Hyperlite, all the riders that push me and help me progress and my mom and dad for always taking us to wakeboard.
Cooper: Slingshot for the fresh gear, Campbell for filming, Johnny D for the support and Jason Stuckey for encouraging me to ride my own way.
