My first camera was canon 2000d and i quicly replaced it for a Canon 800D for 3 main reasons , touch screen articulated, dual pixel autofocus in videos and external mic input ... And of course overall better camera in video and photography ... The next target is canon 90d so i can use all my lenses without adapter...
There is something about those cameras I love, as a owner of a R with amazing L glass I always take my T7i with the 24mm and the Nikon d40 with the 35 and love to have fun with those two…mainly leaving my expensive gear for work ..the prime lenses and lightweight is amazing
Any recommendation for a wide fast prime that's also cheap second hand? For the canon EF/EF-S mount preferably, in the 18 to 24 range, f/2.8 or faster, under 250€? Manufacturer doesn't matter as long as it's sharp and does autofocus at least competently.
@@Hugodra I know about it, it's a nice lens, I don't wanna admit it, but I don't like it's design lol, maybe I'll get it, I was looking at getting one for 180€ but I ended up not buying it cuz I didn't have the money, maybe in the future I might get one
Really nice video - glad to see other content creators showing love to one of the elder statesman of the camera world. I've had my T7i since 2016 and I still love it. Hard to find something with so many features that is so dependable. Oh, and if anyone is reading this who might be interested in a T7i, it has an external mic jack as well as a jack for a remote. Love that camera!
I do believe the T7i is from 2017 right? So how do you have it since 2016? Am I missing something? I've had mine (800D cuz Europe) since 2019 and it's been an amazing camera really, I just need more good glass to put on it, my only "sharp" lens is the 50mm f/1.8, I also have the 18-55 kit lens and that is just... well... dogshit... I also own the Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD which might be my favorite 180€ investment ever, unluckily its AF motor just died, to be fair... it's a 14 year old lens so that's expected, but just as I said it also wasn't very sharp wide open (7.1 and up was much better than the kit lens but not prime lens or L glass level) so I still haven't reached the capabilities of my sensor or camera, might look into a new lens some time soon, preferably a fast wide prime, any recommendations? As for the body, I likely won't upgrade until the 800D dies, it's a really good camera, a bummer it doesn't have 4K or a few more buttons and maybe a nice lil joy stick like on the 7D... but you get what you get, it's much better than the 7D in features so...
@@aquss33 TBH, I guessed at the date…2017 is probably the right answer. I should probably sell the camera but I just enjoy it so much. I’ve got the kit lens, a 50mm, a 10-18mm and the 70-200mm. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before it starts breaking down. Enjoy the ride!
I shoot stills, and the T7 always looked better to me than the T7i BECAUSE OF THAT SCREEN!!!! That would have been true even if they were the same price! I'm very aware of how hard I can be on equipment, and that articulating screen just screams "i will get broken" in a way that a fixed internal screen can't!
If you're not a beginner, I'd recommend the 6D instead. Full frame for pretty much the same price. Only negatives from the 800D are autofocus, video maxes at 30fps, and thats mostly it. I have both cameras, 6D is much nicer
The 6d is definitely a great option! I see it as more of a photo-centric camera though because of that lack of 60fps for slow mo and the lower grade AF (af is super important for me when vlogging).
In comparison with the 6D, I'd choose the 800D any day of the week for wildlife and sports photography, maybe even for portraits. The only reason to get the 6D are nice build quality or for landscape/architecture real estate photography which is a fair point, but in my opinion the 800D is a much better, I mean... the screen has a sharpness of 500 DPI and the 6D's screen only has around 280, I mean, the 800D also has a flip out touch screen... and it's a lighter and smaller camera (not necessarily a good thing, I would like a bigger camera lol) in my eyes it's not even a contest cuz I do mostly wildlife or portraits and also video sometimes so... but there are advantages to the 6D, so fair point.
@@aquss33 For me, portraits are my main priority. I can certainly understand why the 800D would be a better choice for wildlife, as well as for vloggers. But nothing beats the look and feel of full frame, and it's been hard going back for me personally. As for the screens lower resolution, it doesn't bother me, even without the flip screen.
NEED YOUR HELP IN EPEDIMIC SOUND will i get a claim on a video which is posted during the subscription after cancelling subscription specificly in [personal plan] plzz answer it🙏🙏 because epidemic answer this thing but only for thier commercial plan
Everybody needs to soundtrack their videos! (well, almost everybody lol). I got by with copyright free music for a while but once I got epidemic my editing workflow really did speed up. That was just my experience though. 🤷♂😄 Thanks for watching! I appreciate the comment.
they likely would... (if they're doing video, big assumption) also, dude needs money lol, why wouldn't he take such a nice sponsor, it's not like it's raid shadow legends, it's just an audio company
thanks for this
i purchased my t7i back in 2017
i just pulled it back out to start vlogging again
things come full circle
I really liked this video on the T7i . I got mine in 2019 and still use it.
Same here! 10/7/19 my t7i is going strong!

Thanks for this video , what’s the best lens to buy for this camera ? For CZcams
Thinking of buying one for youtube….
Man good thing I'm a computer nerd and a camera nerd so I already have a beast of an editing rig with 6 tbs of storage in it without my server rig😭😭
🔥🔥
Great video! My first camera was the t5i and i have made so many trips and even client work with it and I love it!
That's awesome! Classic DSLRs ftw!

For sure! Art/hobby photography is so much more about the photographer and the subject than the camera. Lightweight all the way!

Thank you!
I wanna buy one but can’t find one anywhere
eBay. I just got one today.
The 800D is the Euro version. I got that. It’s the exact same.
Is the Canon R50 any good?

I thought the t7i went to 60fps?
How would this work in low light?
It's ok.
Depends on the aperture of the lens
