Oh shit it’s Max

@@jaymoney522 i think he explained the change in his accent pretty well regarding all the time he's spent in europe and around only european chess players talking about chess, of course he will pick up some of their inflections and mannerisms. Not that this is related to whether or not he was cheating, but I think it's pretty silly to go after his accent of all things and try to use it as any sort of evidence.

I think it is highly likely he is cheating and he should have been banned already for cheating twice regardless of his age but I think Agad is making the right decision.
@@silverdeathgamer2907 How the fuck do you find conclusive evidence? That's literally impossible unless you invent a time machine, went into the room when Hans was playing, strips him and grab his anal beads. It's getting tiring when all these people asking for "conclusive evidence" knowing it perfectly that it is impossible to find. He literally got away for cheating already.
In the absence of evidence, we can only conclude he did NOT cheat.
@@jehushaphat considering that it is a "lack of evidence", it is concluding that "there's not enough proof to claim Niemann cheated" instead of "he didn't cheat" as the latter needs a concrete proof that there's completely no possibility of cheating. Exactly zero, instead of close to zero.
Anyways, if Niemann gets out of this drama in a better light (cheating not proven, Carlsen acknowledging him, etc.), he'll undoubtedly be famous for standing up from all those pressure. As such, there's no reason to conclude anything as of now.

Absolutely great game, a true classic. Max was relentless with his attacks, sacrificing pieces and leaving Hans one imperfect move away from getting crushed. There were crazy sacrifices all over the board, any wrong replies would be heavily punished which forced extremely precise calculation, bwhite's position was crazy with his king on the run, and overall the game was just incredibly wild. Given Hans' position was nearly completely busted many times and Max was achieving incredible counter play with brilliant sacrifices, there didn't seem like any way Hans could survive being checkmated or at least having to toss material into the fire and be completely lost. Somehow he pulled it out with precise responses, a trade down, and a great endgame. Classic game for sure, a lot of fun to watch. Thanks, Antonio, you're the best
Crazy opening by Max, crazy mid game defense by Hans and both of them played well on the endgame but the 4 pawns on white's side is just crushing!!! Brilliant game!!! Could be Hans' immortal defense game!

If he wasn't a multi-time cheater with a coach that cheated with students, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. They need to start playing the top tournaments in a Faraday cage I guess.
There’s no doubt with inhuman statistics
would some kind of video delay help?
Well, his coaches FIRST time getting caught had him blaming "his students", the 2nd and 3rd times was all him babyyy
In fact his students probably didn't give engine moves to him, he cheat himself because what his saying doesn't make sense. He wrote in email that my students said some random moves and I didn't know they were engine moves, thus I played. I am 2050 rating in lichess and I can understand one move is whether engine move or not. My 1300 ELO friends also understand diffrence between human and engine moves. Somehow 2500 ELO GM couldn't realize multiple consecutive engine moves, it is just dumb lie.
@@ovs4744 your statistics are flawed, high school math is not enough
Hans’ transformation into a chess villain is complete
"Dr. Regan, considered the world top expert on chess cheating, analyzed all of Hans Niemann's games over the last two years, including online games, and his conclusion is there is no reason whatsoever to suspect him of cheating. The wide range of results in a bell curve, with some good and some bad, is actually a sign of a healthy distribution of results. Many of the so-called points of suspicion are in fact quite normal and suspicion is really the result of faulty analysis by ZEALOUS AMATEURS. Even online his play has been quite devoid of anything unusual."
The bell curve would indicate that he plays a lot of fair chess, not that he doesn't ever cheat. Dr. Regan is unwilling to identify which games Hans did cheat in, and Hans admitted to cheating. His analysis is obviously flawed and essentially meaningless. It identifies complete scrubs cheating, not GM-level players cheating for a move every 5 games.

Rootin’ for you, Hans.
I about blew a gasket laughing when the white king made it to e4… wowzers
I have two questions.
1. Why in the early moves is it important for the Queen to give the check on a4 first, before taking the pawn on d4?
2. When the Queens are exchanged, isn't it better for black to play Qe6, then Bxe6 and Kxe6, getting the King closer to the action already? May be there'll be no more need to run over to c8 somehow!?
1 should be quite standard theory. my take is if you don't do that black gets a free kc6 and don't have to put the bishop on the not so useful d7, which means winning 2 extra tempi for that pawn. 2 then you blunder b7 pawn to the rook and probly f7 as well.
ps: not high elo player, didn't check engine
You can play Qxd4 instead of Qa4+, and they transpose into the main line almost all the time, except Qa4+ ALWAYS leads to the main line because it forces Bd7, whereas the Qxd4 doesn't, it gives black another option, and the line goes something like this: 5. Qxd4, Nc6; 6. Qd1, exd5; 7. Qxd5, and here black has a choice between Bd7 (main line) and Be6, Qxd8, Rxd8 which leads to an endgame which is uncomfortable for white, because Nb4/Nd4 to c2+ forking king and rook is a hard-to-deal with threat for white. So in conclusion, Qa4+ limits blacks options and Qxd4 mostly transposes, but does allow black to go for a super specific very sharp endgame line with Be6, where white isn't clearly better.

Why is this being covered instead of the 12-move equality #9LX puzzle that Anish Giri missed against Eric Hansen in the #FischerRandomWC quarter finals offerspill? #suggestion - I already e-mailed agad and gotham about it. Huhuhuhu. Well at least the puzzle is in r/chess960 and in my videos.
Or if not 9LX, then how about my other #suggestion about tan zhongyi Vs the women's blitz champ bibisara in the FIDE women's grand prix? There's an 8-move endgame puzzle with a rook sac there that was found. It's insane.

Brilliant game by both 🙂
Favorite chess channel by far compared to others.
94.1% accuracy for Hans vs 85% for Max according to Stockfish 15 with NNUE, 30 moves deep!!!!
Thanks for confirming - do you have a link ? Nakamura did a video a few days ago in which he analyzed a few games; has he covered this one also ?
Hans was a true genius here. He was able to beat a home prepped game by Max just like Capablanca against the 1st use of the Marshall Gambit.
"That's Anish." Can this be a staple now? I believe Anish must always flash for a split second in a part of the screen in every Agadmator video.
The Anish cameo had me dying😅
Best queen sac! 👸
It's only been 3 mins and you haven't even watched the video.
BOZO
Funny how Hans almost always seems to play the absolute best move.
Almost like a machine.

I love that you didn’t start the video over after the button slip
"Which was sort of impossible to calculate" LMFAO! X'D
the amount of top moves in this game is insane
Actually not
Of both players, that is? I ran this game through stockfish and both Max and Hans made many top moves. Until 15:25, the game was equal. Ra1 (move 38) was a blunder by Max, with the evaluation bar going from +0.5 to +3.9. The next few moves by Hans were merely consolitating the winning position.
Actually, move 11 (h6) was already a bad move, and not coincidentally one that created a new game.
@@l.d.t.6327 that's the point. That's just how GMs play.
@@SF-eo6xf that’s not the point of the first reaction. It’s suggesting there was cheating in this game.
@@l.d.t.6327thing is, most followers just repost stupid things pushing their own ego, no comments by real critical thinking, cause it is not insane.. I wonder how many of these commentators do really know this game called chess.
"through all this madness which is impossible to calculate" says Agad, as we watch Hans correctly calculating the whole line... Hans is playing all the hard-to-find defensive moves in this unbelievably complicated position. I would like to believe that Hans is not cheating but the evidence is stacking up...
That's not evidence. Evidence should be clear. Magnus would be a cheater as well then, given how many [almost] impossible moves he found. Whoever finds evidence that Hans cheated OTB is a winner. But good luck finding that. Not only is it neigh impossible to cheat OTB in such a tight tournament ... not a lot of audience, cameras everywhere, tight scans .... but Hans didn't even use the restroom during his magnus match. If he did cheat, then I'd congratulate him for pulling it off and ban him from all chess tournaments. However, if he didn't, then Magnus should quit chess for good.
Well according to the engine Hans played overall worse
Sorry Dominik, you're confusing evidence with proof. I know it's almost impossible to prove Hans is cheating OTB. And I know I can't PROVE he's cheating. Neither can Magnus and the other players who believe that Hans could well be cheating eg Hikaru, Nepo, Levon and others. Please remember that Hans has ADMITTED to cheating online. Do you think that's OK? But Hans has made himself famous and brought chess a lot of publicity. So maybe its all fine...
@@dominikcar5570 evidence vs proof
@@wicked5999 that's interesting, but it's not what Agad implied, as I quoted him in my OP
Brilliant game, unreal defence from hans

We now expect Hans to win any important game. and if he doesn't then he will still have a great game during that tournament. and i mean a REALLY good game...
