  • The Real South Africa Interview With Mark Blanton
The Real South Africa is an antecedent of who we are as African Americans. And the experience we aim to provide is the antithesis of all you think you know about the continent. Our Journey is nothing short of fortuitous. After our initial visit to South Africa our desire to share it with others deepened until it blossomed into the creation of The Real South Africa Luxury Travel Company.
So we invite you to travel with US, the only African Americans living in South Africa promoting luxury travel to South Africa.

I've been watching Mark and his wife travels to Mzanzi since they first arrived a few years ago. It's very interesting to me to see the wave of our community 🖤 finding out about the Beauty of South Africa from the time when I first arrived in 1990.
Definitely Deserving Recognition for those who find South Africa as Home.
And Still We Rise Together as a Black community 🖤 finding our commonality as a people.
I've been blessed to witness the changes and development in South Africa and it's enlightening to see brothers such as yourself and Mark and many others passing on the baton to showcase that South Africa is Alive with Great possibilities for all.
Keep doing your thing International Zo 👑🙌🏾
    Continued Blessings 🙏

Mark's misconception about South Africa as he was preparing his secret service duty to South Africa in 2010: " I had the common misconception that there was nothing here, that there was going to be a bunch of dirt, I am not going to be able to eat the food, there's going to be a bunch of poor black people who don't have anything and I gotta sit there and look at them". People always preach about the possibilities of Blacks going to Africa, yet no one can name one Black American who went to Africa and became a millionaire. Africans are fleeing Africa in search of possibilities. You guys are talking about the comforts and shopping in South Africa but those are White businesses and White establishments. It's no different than going to London. Black Americans have a median net worth of $1700 and Blacks in the Caribbean are doing worse, so why would South Africans want poor people to come to their country?
That brother was in the military like myself, plus he did secret service, which ensures he will be a federal pension. He could also be get veteran disability. Veterans need to be upfront about their finances if it is the source of their income to live abroad. Look at all the youtubers in Gambia. Many are veterans. We get a tax free pension, that could range from 1500 to 3500 a month. We could live anywhere in Africa, Asia, Caribbean or South America with that alone.
People talk about the countless opportunities but every African American goes to Africa and trying to do business in tourism, targeting other African Americans.
