    Well done on buying this bike as first and for this first video A++!
    I applaud you going for it and not starting for a smaller bike to begin with. I might not recommend that for a younger (less mature) new rider but it sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. I did the same when I first got my licence. Was 31 years old and dived in and got a Ducati Monster S2R 800 (75hp) and it was scary at first, but without ABS and new tech it made me respect the throttle and braking technique etc and I think it made me a better rider. BUT I understand if not everyone wants to do that as its a bit intimidating.
    Keep going with the videos!

    801 is a one of good bike, but not an easy one for a first bike honestly.
    Because it can go over 100km/h in a blink if you squeeze throttle a bit.
    If you can keep calm while riding like this video, you will be fine.
    I hope you can find lots of fun and safe riding always.
    And good to see that you are wearing proper gears including the airbag vest.

      @@4any1ot Good stuff. I don't have much worries since I saw that you are a calm person. People easily forget that we should try keep calm for not to go to valhalla too soon. In my personal opinion, anyone who understands this, then 100hp or whatever bikes will be fine.
      However, not all people truly understand what they are riding even they believe so. In many cases, people who put themselves unwanted valhalla could be saved if had a smaller bikes. It is sad that even if I say looks dangerous with sincere mind, they don't really listen until get a couple of small crush at least in my personal experience.
      Well, look forward to your next videos. Cheers.

    Good job on your first video. Well edited. This is by far the best audio of this bikes exhaust on the web so far. I'm glad you're enjoying it but be careful as it's quite a machine for a beginner. I'm very disappointed I won't be getting mine anytime soon it seems. My dealer has informed me that the 2024 model year has been cancelled for the US due to some sort of homologation issues. A member of the HQVadventure forums has said their dealer claims it won't be here until late Autumn and will be launched as a 2025 model year.

      Thanks for commenting...my FIRST ride, bike, CZcams video and now also my first comment :)
      Glad the exhaust sound came through, was missing it from all the other videos I watched too. I was positively surprised when I test rode the bike.
      I was also worried that the machine would be too powerful for me as a beginner, but the power band is super linear. The 401 on the other hand suddenly goes into beast mode at 5-6k rpm. Will include that in a different video in the future.
      My dealer told me that KTM/Husqvarna have some supply chain issues at the moment which also delays deliveries here in Germany. Might be connected!?
      Hope you get a chance soon to test the bike! If you like the looks and concept and can practice patience well...its worth the wait ;)

      I don’t know…I am not using the quick shifter.

    Quick question: You said that the 401 was too small for you, how tall are you ?
    Asking since i'm planning of getting one for city riding, but there aren't any available near me to sit on and see how i fit on one. (I'm 186cm (6'1)), form what i read people say it will be fine for my height, just most likely i'll look like a bear riding a bicycle.
    Enjoyed the video by the way, keep em coming 👍

      @4any1ot  Před 7 dny

      Thanks😊
      The 401 was not too small for me in size but in amount of bike…that’s what I meant.
      I am between 5.10 and 5.11 (1,80m), the 401 has basically the same ergonomic as the 801, just perfect for me.
      You are quite a bit taller than me…test ride the bike if you get the chance. It will be perfect for the city!

      @4any1ot  Před 7 dny

      @@attackandsnack I am a bit bias to give a recommendation…but I was also looking at the 660. Decided for the 801 as it is in the same price range but has way more features (like adjustable suspension and throttle response) and more power.

    Well it’s definitely not a scrambler. It has pirelli mt60rs tires but it’s by no means scrambler with a 17 inch front wheel. It’s just a naked bike with 90/10 tires. The sound of the exhaust is boring in my opinion. I checked this out at a local dealership. It’s basically a 401 with more power and as you said a 790 Ktm. Price should be 9490 or something to really be competitive in my opinion. Husqvarna is not famous for reliability so people will choose a mt09 instead for the engine reason and the reliability.

    • @4any1ot
      @4any1ot  Před 11 dny +2

      I agree…the MT09 is the better value proposition.
      I chose the 801 for the looks, concept and because I feel it’s unique. Yes, it’s a big 401…that’s exactly why I got the bike😊
      I am not concerned about reliability because it came with 4 years of warranty👍🏻
      Will address some of those points in a future review. Stay tuned…
