    Hey Nick! I know you're with DIY now and your videos there are great.
    But all your Koch Chemie videos you did here are super helpful and I'm using a lot of the techniques you showed to correct my non- metallic black Audi. With really good results for a first-timer!

    I have tried and spent a lot of money on different brands such as Meguiars, Carpro, Chemical Guys, Autoglym etc etc but have swapped my whole product line to Koch Chemie and let me tell you it’s insanely good! Not only are their chemicals strong but most of them can be diluted to desired strength which makes them insanely economical. Their polish system is as you can see for yourself very very good! Glad to see they are stepping into the U.S now.
    Fun fact: BMW, Audi, Mercedes and Volkswagen all recommend Koch Chemie to be used on their cars 😄

      Thanks man! You won't know the frustration of sticky paint until you run into it lol...but having a little uno pure to make it lubricated and easy wipe off is clutch. One tip is you want to wipe the product off pretty quickly after your passes as well (per Jason rose)

  • @marksafady1059
    @marksafady1059 Před 2 lety +1

    • @HawkProDetailing
      @HawkProDetailing  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks man! Have you ever had that happen? There's this weird outline on the edges of your polish section...it's enough to drive you crazy. It's not like a line between where you've compounded and polished...it's just all around your polish section. It drove me absolutely nuts on this 20 year old jaguar...and I learned that is what they call "sticky" paint. The one tiny drop of uno pure gives enough lubrication...just a pass or two and quick wipe off...and it's like magic. I haven't found uno pure alone to be my favorite but I'm grateful to have discovered this "hack." I played around with other combos but you still want m3 to be the dominant product with just that little lubrication boost from uno pure. M3 wipes off easy but uno pure wipe off is super super smooth so maybe that's part of it

    • @marksafady1059

      @@HawkProDetailing not sure I’ve experienced that…yet…but I have experienced very soft paint which drives me crazy! Great tip on the addition of uno pure. M3 is absolutely fantastic and I will always have it. I do mainly 1-step corrections, so I’m not using it a whole lot unless I’m dealing with soft black paint.

    Nick, if you haven't been able to try it yet and you're polishing on something that isn't going to coated or have any serious long term protection thrown on it immediately after (like something going to a show or a garage queen/art piece car), then the P3.01 finishes even slicker cleaner and glossier obviously because it has wax and fillers built in. But like I said for the right situation and car it's truly a sight to behold and my favorite just make it look amazing polish.

    Great vid, those buffer trails sure do look nasty. Most of the times they come out very easy, but these seem to be very deep.
    Jeez can't imagine how long that must've taken! I wouldn't have the patience to keep going haha. I've done dealership detailing for the last couple of months, currenty got it down to 3 hours for the full deal on normal cars.
    Last car I did was hammered though, and nothing was working fast or good enough. Had to try something new for me. I remembered your vid on the Koch chemie polishes. I compounded with Menzerna 400 first, which leaves a great finish, but just not good enough and wiped off terribly.
    So after the compounding, left the residue, got a new pad, Optimum Hyper polish and a quick pass. Finish was seriously near perfect (it was insane, given the time spent) and wipe-off a breeze. Took me about 4.5- 5 hours in total inside and out. So thanks for that!

      I hear you! I found the lake country 4000 to be amazing for cleaning microfiber and wool (do you use the snappy clean powder?)... but these KC pads can break down easy if you put them through the pad washer with the washboard ridges so I prefer to hand clean them. Rupes pads on the other hand... their foam takes a lickin and keeps on kickin. You can run them through that pad washer no problem. I'm a fan of the pad washer for sure though

    As much as I wanna love my Rupes 15mm 5.5 inch, the stalling is completely ridiculous. The slightest edges, the softest curves, the most minute readjustment makes it stall. It seriously feels like it adds 45 minutes to polishes sometimes. The only 2 settings the machine allows is 1/6 and 5/6. 6/6 doesn’t make any difference and it will not operate without stalling in between those settings, even on flat roofs & hoods.

    Everyone I know seems to hate koch polishes, me included. They had changed the formulation, especially on the h9/8 compounds. They simply can't cut, try on a german car. The f6 polish dust like crazy, never seen a polish work like that. Very disappointed. Megs in comparison is old school but they work, same Menzerna and they are cheaper

    • @HawkProDetailing
      @HawkProDetailing  Před 2 lety

      H9 doesn't do everything I want it to...it cuts a little weaker than I would like. But it works well with rotary (I use rupes coarse da on my dual action when compounding). I never found the sweet spot with f6. Have you tried this polish/pad/technique by chance? Its a little slow but I promise the results are there...m3 is in a league of its own as far as I'm concerned

      @LucaBonato Před 2 lety +1

      @@HawkProDetailing koch pads are a bit expensive, 11/12€ each when I can get other european brands for 7-8€. I'm getting a rupes rotary very soon, but using the good old 105 with a hard pad gave a better finish and removed all the defects, while the h9 leaved tons of rids and swirls behind and the marring was terrible. The m3 was out of stock ( maybe I was lucky ), but i generally tend to finish with the Menzerna 2500, depending on the pad it gives good cutting and a great finish, can't find a difference with the 3500... It uses diminishing abrasives like sonax perfect finish, so it's a long cycle polish, perfect for one step... No dusting even when really hammered for minutes and with high humidity in Italy's summer... F6 seems to cut a bit more and in some paint leaves a better finish, but it's very tricky, for sure it's shorter as it dust like a old compound. I am a bit curious abouth 3d polishes, they seems even better than megs... Have you tried them?

    Also no reason to add grey die to the product that stains pads.
    KC products are getting the hype in the USA now. I bought a bunch of KC stuff when my wholesale retailer started carrying it. They are pretty good, but there's a bit of a price premium for them too. One that I don't think is really justified.
