no not good at all the only good wood for making cricket bats is English willow

Really great video guys. One question, when you're splitting the rounds into clefts why do you use a splitter and not a chainsaw? The splitter could split it inaccurately?

All cricket balls are leather and a lot of bats (even professionals) use English willow. There are just different stages of English willow.

What part of the tree does the players clefts come from?
dose not matter the performance of a bat comes down to how well you press your cleft
@Kippax Cricket Limited I get that but I was told players willow comes from certain part of the tree? The best bats I've used with best ping have always been a bit softer.
@@stevecheshire5046 softer means its been pressed less thats all the bat will preform better but wont last as long
