I once contacted Alfie’s office as I started a plastering company and was struggling to build it up and just wanted some advice from him after seeing and being inspired by his journey! They took my number and Alfie himself called me from his personal number and took time out of his day to have a quick conversation with me regarding my business and what I should do next to help my company grow. Really nice bloke and I appreciated him taking a minute to chat with me👍 great podcast as always

Alfie's Story was really inspiring and captivating at the same time. Very Down to Earth man 🏹 accepting he is a Nobody. He was quite frank in saying that nobody asked him the question " What if he had to start over again....."
If he had to do it again he would do it differently and Attract a lot of Investors. Rob that's the one quality that you mentioned in the earlier e-mails you sent us of Rich people --- Raising Money. Also few jokes thrown in between 😅

I understand him telling about tax authorities. They produce much unproductive work and are very annoying as soon as you own a bit. Most
bothering and time consuming when you have success is the tax authorities behaving like robbers entitled by shady laws, trying to press as much out of the people as possible.

I’ve heard of this bloke before thought I’d give it a listen. Blimey this guy, what a solid bloke! So likable down to earth. Knowledgeable not cocky totally get why he is so successful he reeks of it! Well done that man 👏🏼 Shame he has left the country! Sadly I think this is going to be a bigger problem. Successful people feel they have no place in the UK, because like he said they get punished so much and they forget how many jobs and livelihoods people like him provide………… yea they don’t mention that. All in all top bloke 😎👍🏼

Huge wealth =100% CORRUPTION! i work hard and barely survive each month because of things like the TAX system and everything going up in price, but i love my job! i just want to get along in life without having threatening letters from the council tax and utility bills 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

The UK does not need billionaires and multi millionaires investing in and owning all the assets including rental property, that is what has destroyed the UK. All those rentals should be owned by the people who are renting them. The UK does not need super rich living in the UK to avoid paying tax in their own country and the UK. All property in the UK should be sold to the British people who live in the country. Ireland is a good example of what not to do by allowing foreign Corporations to pay so little tax, it has just pushed up home prices and created a massive homelessness crisis. The mismanagement of the UK by politicians is staggering. All Western countries have to solve their housing crisis of too high prices and too little homes. The root of the problem is the US constantly printing more money which in turn creates more inflation and wages are not going up with those housing costs. Who cares about billionaires, they offer nothing.

HMRC is far more fair and not as ruthless as IRS. He could have moved to Dubai
Money is not safe . Arabs don’t care about Brits money . In Monaco , etc they do.
Alfie Best is using good old common sence.
My Grandmother used to say " If you don't take care of yourself then you can't take care of anybody " good advise.

I'm fooked. I cannot understand that many zeros after the number one is the best thing that can happen to me! lol😅
With regards to the point about the taxation and Americans leaving the USA they are one of two countries taxed on their worldwide income. They get a foreign income exclusion if they live abroad but only the first $120k (roughly) is tax free the rest is taxed, they do have the largest English speaking market to scale into also so the pastures for the most part are not necessarily greener abroad. I personally believe taxes are a form of legal theft to an extent and should be kept to a minimum to cover the basic necessities.
I don’t care what anyone says . The UK is completely Broken and it will NEVER get back to the good old days . Everyone I know left including me .
