I don't care what anyone says, that creature's extremely wholesome. Judges by the purity of heart, only wishes to not be attacked and to hear the soothing serenades of traditional Irish folk music, and afterwards he becomes sort of a protector for life. As someone with Irish descent myself I definitely wouldn't mind having him around (although I'm probs a bigger fan of Danny Boy than he is if that's even possible).
I used to play Danny Boy on guitar, never summoned any imps.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that the title doesn't spoil 70% of the story. "I saw something" could be removed but it's a nice contrast to the usual.

Sounds like he gained a friend - this creature seems like a giant fluffy protector than anything else, and doesn't seem to harm innocent people. I'd learn Danny Boy and sing this creature so that they'll feel comforted and nice - seems they just want someone to share the eternity with.
