Thought I would tell you an old trick that I use to keep the cost down. Take a 1gal. jug of frozen eater in a dish pan in front of a box fan. It will cool down the room as the water melts in front of the fan. I keep 2 jugs , 1 for in front of fan, 1in the freezer. I do this for each box fan.

$3,699 divided by 2 hours = expensive off grid power. I would take a noisy generator over this expensive tech toy. Now, if you invest in a reliable solar system that can run your home 24/7...that's the way to go. If you have money to burn, then go buy this tech toy. I'm just to frugal to waste money 💰

Good job Mike! If we ever need a generator we might consider one. However our awesome rural electric company is great about getting our power back up as soon as possible. Even thru hurricane harvey we NEVER lost power while those in our small town 2 miles away lost it for over a week!

Actually, we are not in the middle of summer here in the USA. June 20th was the 1st day of summer.
I get out in the early morning to get my outdoor work done here in Idaho. I start around 4 am. Run my electric yard gadgets just after 7 am. out of curiosity to neighbors.😊 I'm getting as much done as possible before real summer sets in. I am not a fan of summer.
