It is a bug, beta armbands are planned I'm pretty sure so they'll probably let you keep them this wipe (since it's like 2 months away) then revert them to actual alpha people
@@That1Historian call it what you want but it will not be going away, it will get coded in, read the comment below, dude said he killed a player dropping the armband and it never went away. They can’t give you an item and then take it. I have played the game a long time I reset and I hope it stays

@@claysteezy Exactly why I said it'll last til wipe, everyone's inventory is reset then the alpha armbands are given to player accounts marked with the alpha stuff in the code
@@claysteezy they'll just look at your account life time and realise you weren't there during alpha and it won't remain after wipe

I have an alpha account, 2017. I havent played the last few wipes but I log in at the end the wipe to check things out, so yeah sometimes you can kill a lvl 1 who just hasnt played in a while. I'll be salty if these are just being handed out now. Truly regret supporting this trash company in the early days of development. This game should have died as Nik doesnt deserve another cent from people.
Sad how this game after 8 years decided to spit the face of us from 2015. they told us Untar and RU mil would be a faction. Not some stupid event. Clearly they dont give a f about any of their actual "true" believers who supported them, before streamers and everyone else even heard of loser tarkov. 8 year beta. ABI already in 1 month of EA runs better than 8 year beta. SPT still have better AI.
I dont know how anybody supports this company still, the "escape plan" scenario where theyre milking the game for the money before they bounce out looks like its becoming more true every day

My buddy killed a guy who was dropping the Alpha Armband for another guy 3 wipes ago. He has had the Armband since.. the way its coded might be a weird method to persist the item through wipes.. I think it's cool.. it's like a trophy claim for my buddy.
So he just picked it up and every wipe he still gets it that’s ducking dope
I've had this armband for past 2 wipes, my buddies who have also have 4k plus hours don't have it so unsure what the requirements are even for 😂
