Yup. If you forget to bring pack of Marlboros for the pilots.
My thoughts exactly!!!
I was expecting someone to think the same 😁
Its almost identical in size as the Ever Gifted , 399.94 m x 58.8 for the gifted and 399.9 x 61.53 for the Ace as you can see there is little difference in actual dimensions.
So cool seeing this first hand POV, such a massive ship, it's a slow process but very cool for those of us who dont work in shipping but are still interested in how things work.
Ahoy Sailor 💋 🌈
The skills of the tugboat crews never ceases to amaze, it is such a complex procedure..

Huge aircraft and huge ship landings are definitely a thing of beauty when done so well.
Do you think people are able to build a ship as huge it can be a self efficient place to live , with plantations, solar systems? Simply an ARK

Magnificent, but somehow almost obscene. The size is incomprehensible. Twice the weight of an American aircraft carrier. One of her slightly smaller sisters blocked the Suez Canal in 2021.

@@MegaLivingIt merci beaucoup
@@MegaLivingIt And not only the ship as a whole, but how is it possible those boxes dont fall off in a storm....
Nothing less than freaking amazing!! To think at charging a $2000 fee for shipping just 1 container from China to the US (and that's pre pandemic cost) this ship fully loaded with 24,000 containers would be making $48 million for one way ride. I've heard costs of up to $20,000 now and that would be like $480 million for a one way ride! Unbelievable!!
we were quoted $16,500 to ship a container from Japan to Canada lol the prices are INSANE!
I have 15 containers of consumer fireworks being shipped from China. In January the cost was $11,000.00 per 40 ft container as of today the price is $45,000.00 per container with another price increase expected before the end of the year. And this is just the shipping only not the product.
@@Rex739 That is totally ridiculous, these shipping companies are making a killing just like the vaccine manufacturers, billions and billions!
Now think about the Captain's responsibility. Including all goods on board and the worth of the ship itself, that's probably more than a billion dollars
Now that China got everyone to locate their factories there, the Chinese can call the tune on shipping all those goods to market. Maersk will be only too happy to go along for the nice, fat ride.
Makes Asia proud for this outstanding achievement by Evergreen shipping. Congratulations also to Mr. Patrick Ang for steering Evergreen's Singapore office (regional) for several decades.

Many thanks for this incredible moving report! Excellent shots!
Cette entreprise " pète" la santé ,super reportage, manque cruellement de commentaires !
That opening shot. 😮🙌 Incredible. There's nothing else in the frame to give it scale and it still looks absolutely massive.
Because we didnt permanently jam the Seuz last time, we will NOT fail this time!! Boys, fire up the Ever Ace! That girl thicc.
I love how they have specifically stacked this ship so all the Evergreen containers are on the outside, so all you see is Evergreen, and the. They have hidden the others on the inside.
I wondered about that, whether all the containers are theirs.
I’m thinking all of the containers are EVERGREEN.
You can see the different colors between stacks
Brad Ingles Not all Evergreen containers are green. They do have some that are other colors like the brownish ones on the inside of the stacks. I probably hauled thousands of them.
Your right. When looked at from certain angles, you can see different color containers. Nice advertising job on their part is all.
Absolutely amazing and majestic. Excellent capture of everything. Keep up the great job and thanks for sharing this
That's a massive ship. There's no way that ship can come to my little Caribbean country, this is amazing, what a ship, that captain got something on his hands,
-Let me present our greenest ship!
-It uses heavy oil, it won't be that green?
-We added coloring to the fuel
While the sight and finances of these ships have now become staggering in proportion the real miracle takes place not so much on the water but on land, simply marshalling enough containers in one spot to make a voyage profitable is a logistical nightmare for road and rail haulage to contend with. Simply finding sufficient floorspace at ports prior to the ship's arrival is a gargantuan task and beyond the capacity of most ports alone. People look at these ships as marvels but fail to understand they are just the visible portion of a worldwide enterprise in simply getting them to sea at all.
C’mon! at the moment it’s more convenient to carry 20,000 containers per trip than 6000 or 10,000 divided into three or two ships...if there was a contraction in export and/or or a manufacturing recovery in Europe these ships will end like dinosaurs....In the meantime, some ship gets stuck...
വിഴിഞ്ഞം is waiting for you 🔥🔥😍😍
It was the green that caught my eye then I realized I was looking at one of the Evergreens. Just had to stay for the whole thing. What a beautiful ship and I'm sure Samsung Heavy Industries, the makers must have sucked up all the green paint in Asia!
Bigger than the Ford class carriers in all regards. Very impressive. The sail effect of those flat sides is tremendous as we saw when its sister ship gave the Suez Canal a wedgie for a good while.
Equally impressive was the confidence, deftness and incredible power of the tugs, finessing it one way or another and finally tucking it in like a baby in its crib and just as gently.
I'd love to know more about those tugs???

Ever ace is 400meters long, 61meters wide
Shell Prelude flng is 488meters long, 74meters wide
Pioneering Spirit is 477meters long (incl beam), 124meters wide
I know this ship is absolutely massive in person because those containers look like Lego Blocks. But I use to haul containers and they most certainly aren’t kids toys
Great ship. What a work to paint all containers green
Those outer side elevation two lines are green for their brand publicity ,somany other colours & other company's containers are in inner rows
The Evergreen shipping co. is Taiwanese, the color motif of their containers is green. This is the ship's maiden voyage so they figured why not make a grand entrance and put all their containers along the edges of the ship to be visible and the rest owned by other companies like cma/cgm, cosco, APL, etc are all hidden in the inner sections.
The containers along the edges will be mixed with that of the other companies in the ship's next voyages.
The containers visible on the deck used to be stacked 6 containers maximum plus another 7 stacks hidden inside the ship's body. Now I counted eleven container stacks on deck, there could be another 10 stacks in its belly. And this one can carry a maximum load of 23,992 twenty-footer containers, 8 containers short of 24k. Truly a giant.
Taiwan's pride !

Tug boat Captain - We are going to need more tugs. They said she was big, but we didn't think she was that big.
That ship's bow is so freaking sharp!!!!
Such a cool shot at 6:45 it really puts into perspective how massive these ships are
This ship isn’t scared of the waves in the Ocean. The Waves are scared of this ship
These ships are 400 m long. Their hulls are a flexing structure, not monolith. Big storms in the middle of the ocean are quite dangerous for them, because of the huge waves. The distance between two waves is shorter than the length of the ship. So, when the bow and the stern are on top of two waves, the midships is above the ”depression”, and the water level is way below the floating line. This makes the whole hull to flex, considerably, because they can't build a totally rigid hull with this dimensions. So, the specs given to the operator, the captain, contain recommendation on how to navigate depending the sea state, what course to maintain in relation to wave direction, and the maximum sea state the ship can handle without causing structural damage. In reality, there is nothing in this world built by humans, which can totally withstand the power of the sea.

Should be delivered in time for Christmas 2022.

Bloody Hell that is terrifying the size is incredible How can the Captain see out I expect it is all computers that steer the ship
At 2:13 and 11:40 you can see, the containers are "sloped" at the front, but in front of the bow, there is a large blind spot/angle. There are also cameras and radar etc., and yes, computers help to steer, there is also an autopilot for open sea. But in the end, the crew must have the skill and possibility to steer manual if the techs fail.
