Check out Shinedown's cover of Simple Man it's pretty solid
Yo I dont know how to suggest a vid to you but you should react to logic -Everyone Dies. Its straight Fire in my opinion! Love the videos man keep it up!
Bro Did u See Dax-Did it First 🔥
@LayedBakDFR
Check out Sik World he’s like Witt Lowery and NF
They wrote this song just after the passing of Van Zant's grandmother, and Rossington's mother. They sat down and told stories of fond memories and life advice they'd been given by these women.
It's a very powerful song when viewed in this light.
Honestly I came here for hip hop, but you should do Free Bird next
Hell yes, make sure its the live version at Oakland Coliseum stadium.
Free bird is absolutely amazing
Then do Tuesday's Gone
That's what I said. Freebird!
Yes Free Bird is one of my favs!!! I love all kinds of music!!!
My dad wrote this song in my baby book. He passed when I was 7, coming up on 10 years since. I’ve convinced my mom to sign off on me to get a tattoo of a line out of this song, “be something you love and understand” in his honor. I’m crazy excited to do something like that for him
nah bruh this got me teary eyed, i hope all is well for you
hope you did that for your dad fr man
React to lynyrd skynyrd free bird, crazy song 🔥
This is a must
Definitely! If he likes the guitar in Simple Man he'll lose it when he hears Allen Collins and Gary Rossington play the dueling guitars solo in Free Bird. He will need to find a live show or something though because the studio album was just Collins playing.
Seriously tho amazing solos
Freebird feels like it's three days long... I like Skynyrd, but I typically skip that.
@@asmiskelley If you listen to the single it's only like 4:45 I believe but there's a version that's over 9 minutes and a version over 10 minutes too. Haha
This would be classified as Southern Rock
Look at our pics bro
Or Southern 'Fried' rock
Yes, basically blues inspired rock
@@Hawgdawgman you saying this like rock is not inherently blues influenced
It’s just Rock⚡️⚡️⚡️
Lynyrd Skynyrd's Ballad of Curtis Loew is their masterpiece, man
Great song hope he does a reaction to it
@Explicit Gaming Everybody's at least sort of aware of Freebird, though, and some of their less successful songs get slept on
It's only one of their many masterpieces!!!
For sure! Really underrated, that.
They have a whole list of masterpieces. Some of the best songs of all time have come from Lynyrd Skynyrd.
This is one of their “softer” songs, but it hits to the core! Listen to your mamas, if they are good at heart ♥️
Lynyrd Skynyrd is what a lot of people call “southern rock”. You should definitely react to Freebird, song is iconic.
It’s just Rock. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
You most definitely need to listen to Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd! The guitar solo is amazing, especially during a live show when it was both Allen Collins and Gary Rossington playing it. The studio version was just Allen playing it.
That song with THAT Kingsman scene BOYYYY
Would love to see you react to The Devil Went Down To Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band, a great story and smokin fiddle playing. You may not be into country but I think you'll like it.
I agree
yessss #firesquad
Prayer of the refugee - Rise Against
This song is a must, you have to react!
Just react to all of their songs! Too great of a band!
He would like Swing Life Away.
Lynyrd Skynyrd-- Freebird 🔥🔥 should be your next one you do my man, wont regret.
Definitely watch "Free Bird" live at Knebworth! AMAZING!!!!
These lyrics are nothing short of amazing. Then the voice and music to go with. It’s just incredible.
You are dropping some knowledge on us in this reaction. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You’ve never hear sweet home Alabama? Lynyrd Skynyrd sings that
Kim Dees that song is overplayed and 💩
@@chriskennedy4286 Overplayed, sure, but definitely not shit. Technically and sonically, Sweet Home Alabama is undeniably a well written song.
This is what we would call “southern rock”. In the 70’s, music was put into boxes in many ways but interestingly enough, most of us listened to all of it because of how radio was back then. Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, Charlie Daniels and a few others were in the same genre although some more successful than others. That is Gary Rossington. He is the only remaining original member still alive......this band has had more tragedy than any other band I can think of.
Artimus pyle
This is sick dude, I grew up on Rock and got heavy into Hip Hop at around 12-13~ (26 now) so I kinda had the experiences you're having here but with Hip Hop instead. Dope. Good music is good music. React to Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication or Under The Bridge.
Or scar tissue
You just like me wtf
When I joined the Army, 1988, I only knew MTV Rap. In basic training, a kid from Detroit started rapping...Crusin' down the street in my '64....
My jaw hit the floor. I had never heard anything like NWA before. I was hooked.
This was my uncle's favorite song. He practically raised me. Sadly we lost him to cancer. So glad to see you react to this.
This was the first song I ever learned on guitar and it speaks volumes to me. Freebird was the second song I learned and it has a 5 min long guitar solo that'll give you chills man. Gotta listen to it! Much love!
One of my favorite songs. Must've heard it hundreds of times since I was born and I'll still crank it up when it comes on the radio.
Earned a sub with this one man. Intelligent reactions are something we've been missing here on CZcams. Keep it up brother.
Not sure how you can feel nostalgic for a time that you weren't alive to see, but skynryd does that for me. The only band to ever make me cry live. RIP Ronnie et al. 🙏
You just experienced a Lynyrd Skynyrd ballad, now you gotta experience a couple of ROCKIN' songs of theirs.. Freebird live from Oakland , you will witness their incredible musicianship the triple guitar attack and experience the insane crowd reaction at real concert . Then check out , Call Me The Breeze, from Old Grey Whistle, another live show, you will see the most insane piano boogie solo of all time. This band is so talented you cant fathom it until you see them live. Both videos are on you tube, you can watch them straight through, they won't block you. They must be viewed uninterrupted , to absurd the full impact of the music.
Love this track, love the one by Shinedown too!
That version is indeed great
Respect for doing different stuff
Great video, I appreciate the variety of reactions!
Welcome to Southern Rock! Free Bird live, ballad of Curtis Lowe.. skynard 🤘
Right on LayedBak! This was a joy to watch. Truly admirable, this journey you're on. Very cool of you to share with us all.
Oh, if you haven't already, you should listen to Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash. Thats a childhood favorite of mine 😊
My son, whose only 11,interpretation after hearing 'Simple Man' for the first time:
A simple song, of a mother's unconditional love, to ensure he'll grow HEART AND SOUL!! 👩👦
🥰🤙😎
#SouthernRock #Music4theSOUL
#AllMothersShouldPlayThis4TheirSons
Love you experimenting with other types of music! There's many different types of music but they all have one thing in common, and that is to express feelings🔥 keep it up man
My momma literally sat beside me and showed me this song wwhen i was young, and i‘ve tried to be a simple man ever since. Crazy what influence music has
I don't care what anyone says, this is the best rock song ever. In my opinion, the BEST song ever. It's literally a song to live by
You good shit man! Thanks for being real and putting yourself out there. 🙏
Amen to that !! Tired of boring af overhyped reaction vids everywhere in YT.
Yo ok, I dunno why I love watching this dude listen to songs fresh that I’ve listened to since I was a kid, but I’m super stoked to watch him listen to one of my absolute favorite songs.
I watch your videos when I have anxiety, the lighting and aesthetic of your room is very calming. Keep up the great work!
coming back to your reactions recently. See that you are super insightful, and have a great heart, and I appreciate that. Thanks for being a good roll model for our younger generation/
Finally....this is one of the one's I've been super excited to see your reaction to.....🤞🤞
Whenever I here this song, it brings me to tears. It’s a classic. The thing that hurts me is that this band, Lynyrd Skynyrd is MISTAKENLY stereotyped as hicks because they’re from the south. Excuse me, but some of the best songs, and the most prosperous people have come from the South. And I’m feeling great being “A Simple Kind Of Man”, and having you love this song. Its message is vital to anyone that appreciates life, and giving words of encouragement to the next generation. We need more songs like this...
My son and I danced to this song at his wedding. I LOVE this song!!
I'm not gonna lie hip hop and AK brought me your channel. This is one of my favorites reactions yet.
That guitar solo was played by Allen Collins and Gary Rossington. Lynyrd Skynyrd actually had three guitar players and they commonly played dual solos. Check out the song That Smell by Skynyrd it has some amazing guitar work.
Love the shout out to your mom! Great reaction!
great vid. I think the message I always got from this was don't over complicate things.don't always feel like you have to keep up with everybody else. be happy with what you have.
I've been lost for a little wile but watching your videos always make me smile and help me feel better so thanks dude hope you have a bless day
I love when you do these reactions. 🔥🔥🔥 fire squad!
as a man, this song hits different man. a lot of us were raised with good morals and ethics and this song resonates.
Keep expanding your palette!
Please do more of these!
Thank you for reacting to rock. I love watching people's first reactions to rock music...my genre. Thank you
As someone who is predominantly a hip hop/rap dude, your rock video reactions have reminded why i used to love it so much when i was younger. A broad mind is a wise mind. Awesome videos and vibes 🙌
I’m glad that you are listening to these songs because this type of music changes lives 💕
Ay bro. You stated that every time someone unsubscribes from a channel they announce it, well imma let you know that I subscribed. It's 2:30 am and I've been binge watching your vids. Lovin it fam. The positive energy and real reactions to the music feels like we almost kickin it for real. Keep up the good work.
You gotta do the Shinedown cover of this song, too! It’s powerful and I know you’d get a kick outta that! Love you, LayedBak!
Keep them coming layed 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥pass
Been bingeing your videos
Freebird live from the Oakland Coliseum 1977, if you love guitar solos, you will NOT be disappointed! You’ve gotta trust your fans on this one.
Amazing song I love your reaction as well
Your intro was great man, talking about songs you would be surprised some wouldn't know themselves. There's a lot of creators reacting to rock and songs I know. It's about time for me to branch out myself.
This song gets in your head quick and get's you thinking... the reason why it's one of my favorites of all-time.
You can always tell when someone appreciates the music when they close their eyes and listen
Great analysis of this song!
This is one of my favorite Skynard songs ever!!
Little late on this comment, but I really enjoyed your commentary about values and how they differ. Great perspectives man, keep up the good work!
Great reaction......thanks for sharing your thoughts on your mom!!!! Please do more...I would suggest 'Freebird' live Knebworth and 'Ballad of Curtis Lowe".
Fire as always my man. Should give Hurt by Johnny Cash a listen. Absolute classic and argueably his most infamous as well. So much feeling and power in it, you'd have a Hay day my man. Self love and positivity brother, can't wait to see what happen next Sunday
Far from Johnny Cash’s best but it’s still great! It’s a Nine Inch Nails cover. Trent Resnor talks about when J C called him and asked to cover his song. Good shit
Yes do more! But if you want to keep expanding do Roadhouse Blues by The Doors
I love this song to bits man
I'm a huge hip-hop and rap fan. Obviously otherwise I wouldn't be on your channel so much. But there's a lot of good rock and metal music out there with great messages. You should definitely do more videos like these.
kudos on the production quality.
You gained a subscriber from this video. GOD bless brother. We all need to be simple men in these confusing times...AMEN.
This was my dance song for me and my mom at my wedding, only child with a single mom I love her so much
This is the kind of music we need to be released now in today's world
You should have the lyrics out for every reaction. Really enjoy when reacters on CZcams analyze the lyrics.
u can never go wrong with lynyrd man im a huge rock fan and u will not be dissapointed if u react to the right rock artist
In my earlier comment - You Tube apparently spell-checked your name to Layed - sorry!---- Anyway, your reaction tells us a lot about you - you are a genuine man. I am a 66 yr old white dude who grew up on this music in Northern California. Thank you for your heartfelt reaction! And again - please check out "The Living Years" - you will have a similar but unique reaction to its emotions. It will take you on a similar but unique journey! Enjoy!!
Layed back ive watxhed you for a while my dude but youve gotta listen to disturbed and their cover of sound of silence. Its chilling. Love yoyr videos!!
Great song my mom used to play me this song all the time
Yes more Lynard
Good old Southern Rock! Love it
Really appreciate this reaction @layedbak
MY FAVORITE LYNARD SKYNARD SONG IS RED WHITE & BLUE.
I LOVE HOW YOU TALK ABOUT THE STORY OF THE SONG...IM GOING TO WATCH MORE OF THESE VIDEOS AS WELL AS YOUR SCARY VIDEOS
R.I.P. Lynyrd Skynyrd... honestly music that was ahead of its time
@LayedBakDFR
Good song to start listening to rock.
Glad u went for the OG song my g keep it real bruh
The melody in this song is beautiful! But the lyrics just hit me hard ❤️
With what ur saying at the beginning, I agree. You can't just expect someone to know. Or even have a connection at the beginning.
My mom used to play this loud and dance with me every weekend when I was a kid
I love rock and this is a good song
My mom shocked everyone at my wedding when she chose this song for the mother son dance. Nobody saw it coming and it brought everyone to tears.
PASS!!!! love that you are open to other genres of music. In rock music I listen for the guitar solo. The great guitars can make you hear the words. Jimi Hendrix rendition of the national anthem is my all time favorite 🎸 solo.
Yesssss I love me some Jimi Hendrix!!!
Another great one
“She almost turned me into a little monster” caught me off guard lmao
Listen to Shinedown's cover of this one and it definitely gives it a different soul and flavor
My mom basically said this was her song to me , it’s definitely helped me during trying times like the military or just life in general as a young man
Free Bird is their “best song”, and Sweet Home Alabama is probably their most replayed song. That Smell, Saturday Night Special, What’s Your Name, and Tuesday’s Gone are also all hits and amazing songs.
Within temptation reaction!
Layed - Another great parent/child song - actually father and son is by Mike and the Mechanics -- "The Living Years" - an Irish based group, with the beauty of Irish melodies and feelings. A really beautiful, thoughtful. loving song about things we wanted to say before our parent was gone - but didn't get to say it during "The Living Years" - Enjoy!
