here's a week in the life of a target team member! this week ended up being kind of a bummer, i
promise the average week is not like this at all! this isn't the first time i've cried on the job (most of my coworkers have too at some point), but it is the first time it's been bc of a guest.. target is obviously not my dream job, but it gives me the means to live on my own and until i'm making enough money from my dream job, this is pretty okay! wowie, i have a way with run on sentences..

if you're an old subscriber, hi. it's been a while. since the last time you've last seen me i've moved across the country, started another completely different channel, got better at editing.. oh yeah! and i work at target! i wanted to come back to this channel and since this job sucks most of my time and energy, why not capitalize off it!? i honestly don't know what direction i want to go with this channel.. i'd love for it to be general lifestyle/vlog content but we'll see. i'm honestly surprised i still have any subscribers after taking years off, so i appreciate you being here. i hope you all are doing well and i can't wait to continue this journey. we have a lot to catch up on!

I really appreciate you vlogging your target life. I worked at a Target from 2012 to 2014 doing hard lines as well and to this day I miss everyone I worked with, including the team leads and managers. If it wasn’t for the fact that the job back then was 10 an hour, I probably would have been there longer. So seeing you work brings back sooooooo many good memories.
Like you, most guests were very nice and those are the ones I have the fondest memories of. And haha, seeing what happened in your review reminds me of how much I hated working in the beauty department and I never touched soft lines because I was no good with clothing. Besides beauty another area that I really did not like stocking was the seasonal section during the back to school time of year with all the small school supplies and Halloween just because of how much that area would get messed up so quickly. Favorite though was the seasonal Christmas section.

I’m so sorry that customer was terrible.
I agree with you on the toilet paper lady’s daughter. Once while shopping at Target I cut my hand on a broken tiki torch and was bleeding on the floor immediately and I thought I’d faint. I sent my son (11 year old) to get me a bandaid, a water and a snack. I laid in the floor bandaged my hand, drank water and ate. We walked to the front and paid for all those supplies. And told them about the broken glass of course.

During my first year working at Walmart's produce dept, my coworker and I told a customer we did not have something in stock. She proceeded to tell us both this: "I have a nephew that works for corporate! I'm going to call him!" Then she leaves, while aggressively shaking her head, with her shopping cart.
I share this little anecdote in hopes that you know you are not alone when it comes to rude customers (or guests lol).

Oh leaders have the craziest most unrealistic expectations, I tell my fellow team members all the time "you can only do what you can do"!

How long did it take you to get paid after your orientation?
Sorry for the late reply but we get paid every two weeks on Fridays so depending on what day your orientation fell on, it shouldn't be too long! But if there's an issue, I'd talk to HR
