This is my favourite recent find on CZcams
As someone who has watched hours of your channel, I really appreciate your comment mate 🤝
Ditto
Love both of your channels guys. 👍 Thanks for your great content.@@NotEconomicallyViable
You have one of the best personalities on CZcams Nino, great video, I hope the good lady is keeping well.
I really appreciate that mate 👍🏻 Naomi is keeping very well too 🙌🏻
You can put the suspension in off road height and put axel stands underneath. Then lower the suspension and once it sits on the stands it raises up to extended mode. If you press and hold the suspension up button and the brake pedal for a few seconds, it goes into super extended mode. Plenty of room to get underneath then.
Looks the nuts! You’ve done a great job. You must share , once finished, the complete cost. Bravo!
Good to know for the future 👍🏻
It's really good to see someone who is obviously very competent working on cars making the odd little mistake and keeping them in and not being text book perfect like many channels because that's the real world especially for incompetent have a go mechanics like me!
So sorry to hear about your Grandad. He must have been very proud of everything you’re doing. Great work, keep it up! Looking forward to seeing more to come!
🤝
I really like these videos with a bunch of little jobs & fixes. It's more detailed and interesting, way better than seeing just another timelapsed video of someone pulling an engine or bolting on a bunch of expensive new stuff.
That's good to know for the future - I'll try to do more like it 👍🏻
6:30, it's actually a really ingenious way of rustproofing this area of the vehicle by covering it in used oil. Servicing probably use a suction hose to remove the oil which is likely why the drain plug was so hard to get off. Recently dicovered the channel and love your delivery style really enjoying it thanks!
you can disconnect the bonnet rams and lift it up to vertical for servicing there is a clip each side on each hinge that holds it in place.
Mercedes calls it the "service position"
That’s a mega turnaround, even with the ding at the top and the scuffs she’s looking fantastic.
I do love your videos because you cover everything in your journey, even the silly little oversights which most people can relate to.
Love how you test the strength of the ramps by standing on one 😂
I'm quite heavy 😅😂
I might "retrofit" some cross bracing on those ramps, just to hopefully prevent twisty squishy unaliving.
My Dad had a set of those ramps in the 70s. He used to ask me to see him up to the top of them and I hated it!
Sorry for you loss, Nino. From the picture, it looks like your grandad had the same brightness in his eyes you have.
I really enjoy your channel, thanks and all the best.
🤝
Love your videos Nino. You're a top geezer who provides an "everyday" insight to what you do. I really hope you achieve your dream of going full time with YT.
I've followed similar guys on a couple of RC channels. One in particular made the shift from part time to full time during 2023.
It can be done and I wish you well. The good news is you're a natural presenter, filled with bags of enthusiasm for your subject and exude honesty & personality from every pore.
Really appreciate that mate 🤝
It’s like watching a chuckle brother work on a car 😂😂
To me, to you...
New subscriber here. . There's something pleasing about watching some struggle with annoying basic stuff that should be easy, i.e. rear wiper and you're so so right about how the little details make a huge difference. .Congrats on getting the plates on level .😊😊 . Keep up the great entertainment.
Gone from a wreck to a tidy daily! Looks great! Keep up the good work
The way you present your videos along with your personality! You deserve to be a successful full timer as I guarantee I’ll be watching every release “keep it going, Your extremely admirable and contagious!” (In a good way!)
Appreciate that mate
Love the channel, your videos are so relatable for me and thousands of other driveway mechanics who just enjoy working on their own cars. Also I love how your videos are genuine and aren't cut and polished to make it look like everything is easy and avoids the whole "here's what I made earlier" effect most automotive CZcamsrs are going these days. keep the videos coming!
Thanks 👍
Honestly one of the only car youtubers I'll cast to the big screen and watch a whole vid of in my free time. Keep it up - hope to see you on minimum 200k subs end of the year
Just came across this channel, and i have to say i am absolutly loving it. You are doing such a great job with this and its so enjoyable to watch. Really makes me want to start buying crash damaged cars and doing this myself.. I will be a keen subscriber from now on so keep it coming. 😊
3:32 Bro is a comedy genius! The timing and everything 🤣🤣🤣
😁
Yep. ROTFLMAO 😂
Sam’s Motor and Machine did a vid on a full service for an L322 and he used a vacuum pump designed to drain almost all the oil out. It’s worth checking out and safer than getting your noodle squashed!
Thanks for the info 👍🏻
I love these videos, you're not alone when it comes to some of those "what am I doing" moments. Or those moments when you take on a difficult job and what you thought would be the easy part ends up taking 2 hours. Keep going though, these sorts of videos help us all get a bit of encouragement when we work on our old cars!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that suffers those kind of moments 😁
Absolutely love your channel, entertainment, and information all in one. Keep doing what you do
Good to watch. I tend to save up once a month and get my L322 done at local handwash and clay bar once a year, they are big old motors but very satisfying once done. Enjoy, I love mine!
Superb stuff Nico. I love the personality you bring to each video. Your positive humorous commentary and can do approach make me grin from ear to ear. I think you’re going to love driving that beauty. You deserve it. Keep it up!
Thanks mate 🤝
MORE! love your style, humour and the highs and lows! Keep the videos coming please ♥️
Recently found your channel and I have to say I love the honest, lets have a go attitude you have its so refreshing that your not just throwing money at your projects but you consider the process, please keep it up and I can see a time where your income off CZcams allows you to be full time, keep up the fantastic work your doing as I like many love the content.
I really appreciate that 🤝
Thank for the upload and sorry to hear of the passing of your grandad.
You just made Matt from highpeak very happy with the new plates
been following you from the start and your videos just get better and better. Love this Range Rover series and can't wait for the next one!!!
Loving the video. So pleased for you getting this car sorted
Looks a million dollars. I’ve been diy’ing on cars since 1988, 2 weeks ago I had to replace the alternator in my modern vag product, a pain but not to bad - the wheel arch liner was a sod, and with one screw missing I gave up as got dark the frost returned and neither a magnet on a stick or torch revealed the screw. No problem though, a quick test drive and re-park to find my new winter tyre deflating rapidly and the screw was found - yay. We all make mistakes, and some of us continue to do so. It’s just the magic of life 😤. Sorry about your grandad but good innings.
Ahhhh noooo - that's sod's law. Thanks for the condolences. He had a very good innings 🤝
The long format videos are brilliant, i think you could easily make a full time job out of this. Properly enjoying this.
Appreciate that 🤝
some of the best content, love seeing you learn and learning with you
Just started watching today. Loving the format so far. I much prefer the longer videos than having to wait every week for a 15 minute update video like a lot of others. Looking forward to watching more of your content
The paint looks amazing, you wouldn't think it's possible from a can, well done.👍
Thanks 👍
It's amazing how good the car is looking, you'd never know how much was damaged before, a great job. Only thing is that dent you can't unsee lol.
I'm going to have to get it fixed!
This just became my favorite youtube series. The candid reactions and genuine problems you face, especially the rooftop dent (I saw it last time and was wondering when you would address it) is just a joy to watch. Real life problems real life solutions, not scripted shows ready with anything.
Appreciate that mate
Loving these videos! So enjoyable to watch these little bits being done, and you're a great presenter. Also gives me a lot of confidence/makes it a lot less intimidating for me to work on my own car.
Cheers mate. Give it a go - it's great fun!
I do enjoy watching your videos,I like your personality just like someone here said.
For easier oil changes you can get an oil extractor, and use that going in via the dipstick tube. Can can hand pump or electronic ones.
Sorry about your grandad too
I'll take a look into that. Thanks for the condolences mate
@@NotEconomicallyViabledid my first ever oil change on my Discovery 4 using a mitivac extractor off Amazon.
Took me 20mins including changing the filter, not a single drop anywhere.
Enjoyed your RR rebuild, anything JLR will get quite a following IMHO. Nicely done 👍
Well done Nino very enjoyable it’s nice to see a normal person with a positive attitude good work
Great progress mate! Love your videos, keep it coming🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nice job! Couldn't stop loughing when you got to that paint marker, that didn't wanted to come off! 😂
😅
Please don't pour the diesel out the old filter in to the new one as you can contaminate the clean side and this can damage the fuel system components, keep the posts comming good content 👍
That's a good thought 👍
Fill with diesel cleaner
This channel is a hidden gem! I've always been really interested in the mechanical aspect of cars but never had the bravery to service my own car. You have inspired me! 👍
New to your channel and love it! Your personality shines through and with your honest commentary (highs, lows & mistakes aka learning opportunities 😅) makes it a must watch channel ! Hope you can make your dream come true and go full time (you may have already!)
Appreciate that, Mike 🤝
nice little series on the range rover would love to see a final video touching up the rest of the body work and also giving us a final total of how much you spent on the projects, great videos keep it up!
You are great a this. Videos are funny, informative, interesting and entertaining. You're a natural behind the camera and you've inspired me to get more hands on with my car. Keep it up fella. I hope you get your wish and you can do this full time.
Appreciate that mate 🤝 Good luck with your car!
I’m really enjoying this series. Your ‘have a good attitude’, humour and honesty when things don’t go to plan is refreshing. Plus the Range Rover’s starting to look great. Would love to have a running total of costs 👍
Appreciate that mate thanks
Amazing job mate well done ive been watching a few of your videos lately especially (Sheila) audi a4 2.5tdi as its what i also run as my daily keep up the great work! Your grandad will be looking down very proud of you. One of my new fav channels to watch!
Great video, it’s like watching me do car maintenance lots of potential know how but never goes that smoothly 😬
I like these vids, very relatable to my amateur DIY experience, would love to see more!
Absolutely love the update it's come along way , well done
Thanks 👍
Such a great channel!
Looking forward to seeing your next car adventures.
I'm currently in the middle of getting an XJ40, Samurai and Wolseley back on the road and love to see some other blokes struggling with this horrible hobby aswell!
Cheers
glad im here in the early days of this channel, its starting to blow up, good job man
You absolutely deserve all the support and love for your dedication on these videos. Keep up the good work 👏
Appreciate that mate
Really enjoyed the progress you’ve made on this from when it arrived. You should be proud of what you’ve achieved! Looking forward to the next update 👍👍
Thanks, Matt
Loved this seeing it all come together and your hard work and determination. It’s inspiring as I love working on our cars and it’s nice to know others do too.
Well done on getting she 100%. What a cool dally driver
Appreciate that mate
I love how real your channel is Nino. Mistakes we all make, the dropped 10mm into the engine bay never to be seen again and the numerous grazed and cut fingers, the taking 3hrs to do something a garage does in 3 minutes etc etc
Must of us who like to tinker with our cars don’t do it cos we fancy ourselves as mechanics, but because there’s some of us who are just wired up that way, we like to find a problem and fix it.
Keep up the good work
You describe me fully
Your NEVER SAY NEVER spirit is making me to subscribe to support. Well done!
You, my son, have done a cracking job with that car (and you learnt so much about fixing cars). respect!
Good to see you back… hope you get to do it full time very soon 💪
Amazing video as always really looking forward to more videos from you just a wonderful down to earth man getting rare on CZcams now sadly and very sorry for the loss of your grandad
Thanks, Wayne 🤝
Another great video! I live how you narrate what you do, as I can relate exactly, especially the reaching for the ratchet!
👍👍
Great videos mate only just started watching them just goes to show what you can do when you put your mind to it 👍💯
Thanks 👍
Well done mate. Great video and sorry for your loss. Keep on keeping on, in his memory. 👍
🤝
great video love your personalitie and humor. Keep it up loving it.
Thanks mate
Mini, I know the feature is gonna be great. Little beginnings is always the way to start, you'll get there soon. I love your sheer determination and courage. Keep it up ❤
Loving watching your videos! Lots of highs, lows, perseverance and perspiration. Great show! Sorry to see your grandad passed away, it’s really tough I know. I’m intrigued to know what he was doing with a bread knife and a chisel in the photo!? 😆
The fact you do these restorations in your garden makes these even more impressive.
I really admire how hard you work on your projects and you are very honest in your skills. Keep up the great work and I will be a watcher for sure.
Thank you very much!
Great to see how much your channel has grown .
Really like these RRs. Great vid. Thanks.
Nice one, that cat looks absolutely amazing, really glad the LR community came through for you, from experience those guys are pretty fab at helping. Really love your approach to these vids, I was attracted to your channel as I was looking to get a Range Rover myself, I have now subscribed and look forward to seeing your future projects. 👍🏻
There seems to be a really active Land Rover community, which is very helpful!
I'm absolutely loving your videos. You have really done such a great job with this range Rover. What a beautiful ride it is now. Keep up the great work!
Thanks mate
First time I've come across one of your video's.
Enjoyable and entertaining at the same time.
Happy to give you a sub.👍
Thanks and welcome aboard!
It's amazing how good the car is looking
THanks
Really enjoy your videos and fair play to you in what your doing. Just one thing when doing fuel filters don’t use the old fuel in the old filter to top your new one up, if there is any dirt in the old one you now have that in the new one. Keep up the good work though.
Those ramps are still available and by the looks of em, there are from the 70s or 80s and not home made. They can easily hold a van or short truck.
And always put axle stand underneath regardless.
subscribed yesterday, love the vids mate, great personality, great editing & very funny!
🤝
Good work. Thanks
Great channel , After 60yrs of Diy street 2nd hand car maintenance I have decided that oil drain plugs are'nt used anymore especially with the advent of plastic sumps. I recommend using a 12v electric oil suction pump to remove old oil either thro filler point or dip stick hole, it's much cleaner ,less spills on the ground or up your arm! Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the advice - I'll take a look into it
Started subscribing yestarday as I love these kind of content and I do follow Matt Armstrong, Salvage Rebuilds Uk etc etc BUT what a great find of a youtube channel this is. What a great dude Nino is! Love it !
Appreciate that mate 🤝
Great content : especially like your honesty in cock ups and humour. Keep it up !
REALLY enjoyed this video. And love it was a long one. Rather than say 15 mins. Keep up the great viewing 👏👍
Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Really enjoying these videos! Keep at it! You are fun to watch! Greetings from Finland :)
Really enjoyed this video seeing you transform your beautiful Range Rover. Well done Nino.
Thanks, Kevin
Your vlogs are great Pal, I normally watch them on My TV 📺 but I’ve now subscribed to your channel, a lot of good humour in them too, especially when you were trying to pick up that spanner 🔧 putting the inner splash guard back in!, keep up the good work!, best wishes Mate,
Bruce from Edinburgh.
Appreciate that, Bruce 👍🏻
Great video. Keep them coming. Luvin the content . Hope you go full time. Cheers
You're my new favourite channel, been binge watching all of your episodes! Get yourself a caramel wheel for tape and badge residue, takes it off in seconds 👌🏻
Love your videos mate. I like how honest you are. Keep it up mate
🤝
The car looks completely different and the DIY jobs have been done well, great video ✌️
Whaw! I delivered this car to you in one hell of a state. Great to see this car looking so good, well done! Loving the videos 👍🏼
Well done mate, very impressed ! 👍
Thanks a lot!
For cleaning glass you can use kitchen wire or a new and flat razor blade with plenty of soapy water and it does miracles. I used it to clean overspray from the windscreen when the paint escaped from the masking paper. Nice videos cannot wait for the next one already.!!!
Keep up the great work. We can actually see the evolution of a non-carguy into a backyard mechanic like myself
Nino, this is a great channel. Continued success to you. The Range Rover is majestic.
🤝
Sorry for your loss my friend,I'm not long subscribed but love your content.look forward to more of your content soon
🤝
