  • Another chicken recipe that I wanna share with you guys today. It is the 3 Cups Chicken or also know as San Bei Ji. It is a classic Taiwanese dish known for its flavorful and aromatic sauce made with soy sauce, rice wine, and sesame oil. But for this recipe, I'm gonna use Kombucha to replace the rice wine, so that everyone can try this recipe. Don't forget to share this recipe with your family and friends! ✨
    Ingredients:
    ✏️1.5kg - Chicken
    ✏️40g - Ginger
    ✏️6 Cloves - Garlic
    ✏️2 handfuls - White parts Spring onions
    ✏️2 nos - Bird eye chilli
    ✏️⅓ - Sesame oil
    ✏️Dark caramel
    ✏️1 cup - Kombucha (Original Flavour)
    ✏️2 handfuls - Basil leaves
    ✏️1 tsp - Sugar
    ✏️Balance soy sauce
    ✏️Spring onion (Dressing)

    wow...i'd love to try this recipe tonight but that is a lot of sesame oil which i dont have and no kombucha too...wonder if i mix sesame oil with other veg oil like peanut oil(Knife) or just canola oil will loosen the aroma...what ratio is advisable. Good to know kombucha is the good replacement for wine...how about recipe that have beer tho i always just leave it without but just wondering what is the best substitute for it if you can advice. Thanks.

      Hey there, yes replacing the sesame oil with other neutral oils you will loose a main flavor profile in this dish. So it is crucial that you dont miss the sesame oil. As for the beer substitute, you can try none alcoholic beers. there are a few brands out there in the market. I hope this helps.
