Works in the company vehicle I drive for a huge department . The dirtbag boss doesnt like us stopping by convenience store for coffee , energy drinks ect so we plugged in one of these suckers and wam captian window licker is asking us to bring the truck in for inspection.
I have used this successfully to full the boss I am at work when really just the OBD tracker is plugged in at work... lol I have only used it a handful of times when I need to do something important but it has always worked.

Edwin Euceda no don’t unplug the obd tracker. Just hook up the devise shown here in the video into your cigarette lighter plug and it should freeze your location. I have one and it does the job, I usually leave early from work around 3pm and plug it in and it marks my location there even tho I’m already heading home lol

I see that antenna is detachable, and there is a standard SMA connector for low loss 50 ohm coax cable. What if some stronger and "directed antenna" is connected (like small dish or yagi of cours for corresponding frequency) and pointed to another vehicle ? Will it affect to lose GPS signal for that vehicle? Never mind is it this model or any other with detachable antenna it's same question.
My logic is based on example with Wi-Fi USB stick's or any pci wi-fi card.
You remove (in most cases) 2db antenna and put some larger like 8db or small directeed Parabolic Grid Antenna like 15db and you far get better internet signal and speed but only drawback is larger power consumption. So bigger directed antenna for 1500-1600MHz to jamm other vehicle gps device ? Yes or no??

You can get fined if it interferes with other devices. Some poor sap got fined $38k and was fired for using one. The device he used interfered with an airport he passed by.

No, nearly all gps trackers use cell phone towers (LTS) either primarily or as a fall back when the GPS antenna can't connect.
The only ones this device could fool is the super cheap ones that just tracks where the vehicle goes (has no cell service) and the company manually checks the data which is pretty rare.

***** i jus looked into the lojack specification because i thought of the same thing....... this small gadget ranges from 1500 to 1600 mhz and a lojack system operates on the 173.075 mhz. this device does not cover that range.

what do you mean hacked? You may have a tracker on your car.. find it and disable it.

It might work depending on their tracking unit but this only jams older technologies such as GMS.. newer trackers also log other information.

I'd say it needs a constant electricity supply to operate, certain things on cars still recieve a current even when switched of such as clocks and car alarms, maybe a Juntion in the wiring of something that constantly recieves power

Not if it's a telemetry system, like an ODB II plug. It's only for GPS based systems. (It might interfere with commercial logging devices.)

Carful. Work trucks often upload the miles driven and the speed you were going. It may not know where you were, but it knows you went somewhere. It’s a dead giveaway you were using one of these things.

no GPS is not the same as a phone signal.
Phones work off of WIFI, GPS works off of Satellites, much Different. Im not sure that this device would actually work as intended, maybe on older stuff but yeah not sure.

Not quite sure what you're attempting to achieve. GPS is for most intents and purposes 1-way communication. To be able to perform any action (or lack therof) based on GPS positioning, there has to be another, 2-way communication between the car and another device (usually GSM/GPRS etc). If some service kills the starter /automatically/ based on GPS positioning, it /MIGHT/ work... if its not set up so it kills the starter as a failsafe if the GPS lose signal.
Most of these setups can be overridden manually though (through GSM communication). If you really need to prohibit such a setup to function, you're probably going to need a GSM jammer, too.

It would, it would always show your last known GPS spot, great if your company uses GPS logs every time the vehicle moves as being a on duty driver.

All of the proper real electronic measurements of these indicate that they are all a scam. They are not powerful enough to stop the gps tracking. They do not have the range or power or cover the appropriate frequencies.

Depends on which jammer you have. Some have been known to jam GPS signals out to a radius of 1 mile.
Jam enough GPS devices, then the Coast Guard becomes interested, then it becomes a National Security issue.
