When they were talking about the dreams, when dreams in which you really feel fear in your dreams, it's actually called night terrors, common in children. Lucid dreams are when you can control your own dreams. I took a Psychology class in High School, it was fun.
Alfonso Regalado I used to have really bad night terrors as a kid but I would never remember them. my mom used to come in my room because id be screaming and crying in my sleep but when id wake up the next morning I had no memory of it

Yeah that ties into the folklore of sleep paralysis of a "demon sitting on your chest". Scary stuff! That sounds horrifying.
It's really fucked up that demons are ghouls n shit like that are seen so often during sleep paralysis. Assuming demons are not even real and are just a product of our imagination, it's just strange that it's that specific thing over and over when it could literally be anything else...

Sleep paralysis is where your mind is awake but your body is temporarily paralyzed. Lucid dreaming is where you're in a dream and your dream self figures out it's a dream and you start to control what happens

I've had sleep paralysis. A demon held me down in my bed breathing in my ear and I couldn't move or shout, I got woken up from something screaming. Never been so scared in my life and wouldn't wish it on anyone!

lucid dreaming is when u can control your dreams ( or have some control)... its fucking awesome. happened to me the first time when i was a child and i would wonder about it for years after. until finding out what it was called "lucid dreaming" ... you can activate it by writing your dreams down. basically makes your mind pay more attention to your dreams so you're actively thinking about them

Sleep paralysis is not a joke. But if you stay calm and close your eyes, you can break it easily and you don't have to face the hallucinations.
