I'm not a gambling man but if you told me that Christian Laettner and Dan Hurley were in the same room together, I would've put BIG money on them getting into an argument.

Danny is just a no nonsense dude with a lot of swagger. He is all Jersey City. The dude challenges opposing fans in the stands. People in CT love it!

He’s either real zen or real high but he seems like a content man.

I mean if he’s bringing an argument up that was 30 years ago to the public eye…then sounds like Laettner was being a jerk. Could’ve just said I met him when his brother brought him up to campus.

It's and anecdote both interesting and relevant. That's what these shows are specifically for especially Eisen. Guests providing interesting anecdotes.

I thought that Danny as a player was tentative and a bit soft.

I don't believe Laettner for a second. In his college days he was a preppy SOB. Entitled, arrogant and you can bet he's softening his take on this to a sarcasm level when he probably came across as serious. When he was younger humor wasn't in his tool box unless it was at someone else's expense.........like here.

@@chrisdell5679 And entitled? Hell NO! That's why he played with such a chip on his shoulder.

@@joeburns4209 In 1999 SI did a cover story of Brand and Duke and said, "Preppies no more, NOW THEY'RE NASTY!" and Grant Hill took MAJOR offense to that. He said he spent time with that team in the summer, and they were really nice guys, whereas Laettner was essentially the antithesis of a preppy, and very akin to MJ in Last Dance.
