3.) Paid Media: google ad words= social med ads for $ 5 a day you can target 2500 people. 30 day challenge $5 a day for social media ads (Make it POP) take to new levels with DMs

Love you guys, love the humble stories and don’t be embarrassed, God knows I’m not to say we had no money, no food, and went through worse than that when my 6yr old got diagnosed with Leukemia, she fought cancer for almost 3 years, it’s that moment when everything else goes flying out the window and on my knees I prayed take it all, house, car, but don’t take my daughter and here we are, all of us, she’s in remission and now I think nothing can be worse than those years so I keep my head up and know tomorrow will always be better because we are all healthy once again 🥰

Being new in the lash industry can be a lil overwhelming at times! But watching you two and Livbay grow has been incredible, especially being in the same city as you. Ive also stared from nothing and when i say nothing im mean it! Me and my daughter have made it so far just from watchin and learning from the both of you. I work from home just so i can be with my now 2 kids and what i have it thanks to my learning and working with your products and you tips/advice. You both have gave me hope to not give up and not look life as i did before. Bless the both you and your family and company! I can now feed myself and kids and not go from couch to couch. I’ve started my eyelash business also in my home..I also received my Microblading license..but because of my state and county alot of rules here..I cannot go forward at this time with Microblading part of it.. it’s been alittle frustrating.. I run into more and more rules and regulations.. so saying all that.. I won’t give up!! I really appreciate all ur information and help.. makes me know I have to push forward and harder to make my Goals work.
One thing I do know, God wants me to Become all I can be..And I will be taking more classes while the things are getting done so I can do the Other things I want to do in my Salon.. hugs 🤗❤️

What do you consider old school marketing?
i would say anything that doesn't cost you a whole bunch of money but brings in guests. So for this in particular we go through our social media and follow 50 people a day. It helps to bring in new clients and helps with our following and it doesn't cost a thing.

What’s you’re opinion on Branding your name vs Branding a made up name? I have a lash studio with no name because I am indecisive about my first & middle name vs ex. something like Sassy Lashes. I’m leaning towards my name with the word beauty or something added because when I saw this video I didn’t know what LivBay was, but I knew I was watching the right video because I knew it was Shauna and Mike. No matter the name I’m here for Shauna & Mike. I just don’t want to get a name that I have to change later. And also as a sole proprietor I read that you can have a name in your county as long as it’s not being used by someone else in the same county. (California). But my concern is what if on social media the name gets a big following and someone who has that name that has it as inc. or something has it as well. Does social media count with trade marks and inc. or is it just for paperwork and marketing on the actual brick and mortar location. & last question 🙏🏽 How do you know if someone on Instagram with a name is really a business? Anyone can make up a name and use it on ig even when they arnt legally a business.
When you do choose a name I would just look on the USPTO website to make sure its not trademarked. Thats where this issues come in. As long as its not you should be fine and I would even apply to trademark it ♥

Here in Florida. I used sunbiz.org. you enter a name and it will tell you what is available or even if it exists. Enter the name you want to use. Then purchase the name. It's yours for 5 years. You can always renew. Then register name with the IRS. They will give you an ein. When it comes to banking. You can choose to use your ein. Or personal as sole proprietor. I hope that helps. Do you guys suggest getting an attorney to help with the trademark or is it easy enough to do on your own?
Tish Pierce get a trademark attorney. Because we tried to do it on our own was when we found out how hard it actually is. They can run a knockout search for the name and do an opinion letter to determine if the USPTO will accept the name as a trademark. Hope this helps. ❤️

Hey Quick question so I already had gotten my name LLC but I see it has been Trademarked what should I do ? I don’t want to change my name but i feel hurt that it’s been trademarked
Truly. Aaliyah this is a tough question. If you are staying small in your local area and the person that trademarked is in another state you should be ok. However, if you do grow and become a bigger name they can come after you and try and sue you for any profits made. I would try to look for another name not in use and make it a DBA (doing business as) of your current Corp. That way you don’t lose the money spent on the Corp. I know it’s not what you want to hear, but it cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars because we didn’t do our homework and used a name already trademarked. Hope this helps. 💕
