Great....and Rare.....BRAVI from Acapulco!
Magnificent !
Is that a young Clark Terry on Moanin'??
Can't recognize other musicians. Oh, a really young Phil Woods... holy cow....Melba Liston, an underrated all-round musicuan. What a great group! Fantastic video. This might be his Masters or Doc. Thesis!!
You probably know also the drummer Joe Harris. He was in Dizzie Gillespie band and played with Charlie Parker.
@@ebjazz93 NO, didn’t recognize him. Everyone is so GD young! But , boy is he great. Do you know the pianist? Wish they had a lineup. What a tight band !! Thanks for sharing.
@@nancyeckroad-haney7309 The pianist is Patti Bown.
@@ebjazz93 I think she was a buddy from Seattle and a composer as well. Thanks EB

👌
Is this the band he took to Europe and went bust? Really sad , but Q decided to stay in France and study composing, arranging, etc. For 2 years. When he came home, he was ready to 'diversity ' and do a lot of writing. The master. Be well , Q. 💜
The best IMO
As this was recorded in Belgium, one would imagine that yes, this is the band he took to Europe ….
Who Is the guitarist?
Les Spann
Is that a woman in the band as well?!? ❤
Melba Liston on trombon, Patti Bown on piano
"That woman" is one of the great trombonist/arrangers too many people don't know about. Melba Liston.
