A really small town? Boa Vista has the double of people of Georgetown, and nope, you can't walk everywhere. You probably stayed in one area and could walk (downtown, maybe?) I live in Guyana and go quite often to Boa Vista and it's the smallest city in northern Brazil, but two times bigger than Georgetown, Great video though

Hey no worries. Well of course it depends on where in Brazil you're coming from. But one of the cheapest way regardless would be to get to Boa Vista, then take a bus or taxi to Bon fim which is the border town on the Brazilian side and from there you can get a taxi to Lethem which would be the exact reverse of this video but same process. Lethem is the border town in Guyana. From there you can get to the city, Georgetown by taking a bus. Hope this helps!!!
I'm not sure what the current situation is... Guyana does require vaccination to enter through airports so I think it's a safe assumption to say you will need one, since it is an official port of entry.

@@muhammadaliali3226 at the moment no... you have to pass through immigration in both countries and present relevant paperwork that is passports, visa and vaccination cards... any alternative route would be illegal. I have a video on my Channel about the Suriname border, feel free to look at it.

It depends on how far across the border you are going. No one checks you at the border specifically, so you can go across the border even without passport. However, if you're going to Boa Vista and beyond you will need all relevant documents based on your passport and it is on you to make sure you receive an exit stamp from Guyana and an entry stamp into Brazil. There will be police checkpoints enroute.

I'm no expert on visa but I did a quick check and found that with a Ghanian Passport you will need a visa to visit Brazil. The documents I spoke of refers to things like visa and vaccinations such as yellow fever and covid. @@Eremon-Tangzu

I went to São Paulo in 2018 and I was able to use Google translate quite effectively to bridge the gap with Portuguese only speakers.

It usually is, however its dependent on the amount of people there. Everytime I've passed through, I've never waited more than 10 minutes.

It's an open border. You cross freely. The onus is on you to ensure you get the relevant stamps if you're staying in either country.

I'm not 100% sure what the protocol is at the Guyana - Brazil border. But you definitely need it if you're entering by air.
