What are the bushings on the sides made of? I've got the same shifter but it didn't come with bushings like that.
They're a rubber coated metal spacer on either side of the shifter itself. It should've come with them with the shifter so that's confusing.
@@spontaneousgiraffe ya I was wondering the whole time. They weren't in the package but the package was definitely sealed.
@@jayadam3423 you might be able to get away with using some washers in there but that's really strange.. might be worth calling the manufacturer and asking them too?
It's the sleeve from the factory shifter; you need to use the sleeve, or else it'll rattle and feel horrible.
So, did you do something to make the shifter less stiff?
After a day or two it settled in and its perfect now!
@@spontaneousgiraffe oh, I see. i put one of thes B&M in my car with energy bushing and it is stiff as hell. I'll wait some days for it to settle in. Thank you, sir!
Is there a way to get something with less play than the stock shifter but without it looking like a dick in cold water?
LOL well I'd say swap the bushings but keep the factory shifter and that'll tighten it up a bit. Also that's the best phrasing I've seen in a long while!
