People forget that roms are legal as long as you have the original hardware and software. It's legal to have a backup of your games. We have to fight back against people who try to ban us for that information.
yes I own all these 1000's of games on my RG35xx, I just ehm... loaned them all out and lost all the receipts XD
I've been looking into this and that seems to be the consensus, I got Pokemon R/B/Y/G/S as well as a gbc new from toys r us back in the 90's/00's but the save batteries are dead now but still like to play for nostalgia, just looking into ways that I can actually save my game and not have to start over every time.
People forget these are international laws and they do not apply to you in the United States

I had no issue finding them but they came in weird inconvenient formats and converting them was a real hassle (and then some still didn't work)

Bro. You’re the best. Fr. I have been so confused by all this. I got a RG353V and I have no idea how to organize files.. like none. The SD sent with the device is so crappy and the system isn’t even recognizing it.

What consoles NEED bios files or where can i find a full list of ones that need bios files?
Needed help for sorting out roms as in is there a way to know if a certain mame rom is of which year ? Emudeck has more then one mame roms folder
For BIOS: do they have to be files only in that folder, or can i put them in folders per console and those folders in the BIOS folder?

I got an emulator, but I'm confused on actually how to use the rom. I extract the zip, and have folders etc and I just don't get it. It's unfortunate that a full explained tutorial from start to finish is not allowed.
Joey, is it possible to download, setup and manage files completely and exclusively from the Android device like the odin. Like can a person manage it without a PC
Yep!
As far as organizing, just dump all ROMS into 1 common folder. Use launch box (giving the correct path/directory of course) job done. Categorizing just a waste of time assuming the games are working. If the emulator knows the location you are set 😊

So i have a dumb bish juice question, when you get a RG504M and you add rom files to it, and do the Gamma OS on it; will the device be able to extract the zip file via the device or do i need to extract the files first and then put it onto a SD card? I hope that made sense.
You can extract in Android.
Still dunno where to put my bios files in ark os (I have a R36S). Some games like Tony Hawk (Ps1) plays but others like King of fighters (us version) (ps1) does not.

Sir may i ask a question im getting a sd card with garlic os for my rg35xx is it safe to put the stock sd card in the 2nd slot while using the sd card with garlic is it ok or it might corrupt both sd cards and if i still can play the games in the stock sd not present in the garlic sd card one

If I have an Sd card with onion and Roms and everything, can I just save it to a download folder, put in a blank sd card, and drag and drop everything onto it and put it in a new mm+?
Yep, new card will need to be formatted to Fat32 first though.

Quick question; say that most of my PS2 rom files are USA version, however I decided to download the EU region rom of Harry Potter 1 (because I want the correct "philosophers stone" title, not "sorcerers stone")... when emulating on nethersx2, do I need both the USA and EU bios files, or will the USA file be enough to run them all?
Also same question for ps1 files when most of my roms are USA but I want to run the EU version of Harry Potter 1 on PS1
Good question. I'm almost certain you'll need the EU BIOS. I remember doing so when running PAL roms.

Tough one. You can just get them all and retroarch will auto pick the right one. That's the best way to do it.

If you're using retroarch you can check it in the core info
Okay I'm lost I followed every step on this video amd the start up for abernic 556 and when I go to import the bios of ps2 it says the selected bios is to big it must b 4mb and its 11.9mb I did exactly what u did so idk what's going on amd I commented here cause your comments are turned off on the 556 start up video

I havent tried it yet, but I thought Retrobat handles all file formats of Playstation 1? Can anyone confirm?

Hi, need help I just recently bought the Anbernic RG353ps. My problem is when playing Suikoden my game save disappears. Of I restart the game my game file is gone. I know you can use the loadstate but I want the natural game save of the game

Just recently got an Anbernic RG353V managed to add roms for the Nintendo systems but the whole ps1 thing is confusing, i have all the bios needed and in the right place then when i add a ps1 rom in and boot up the Anbernic it doesn't show that game there.

Hi there! I hope someone help me were I buy SD card pre-download games because my son accidentally lost stock sd card. Honestly I don't know how to install. Hope help or if you have sd card ready a lot games I buy. Thanks. 🙂
Scenario: If a person owns a 3DS ambassador edition, could they legally install all those (apps) that they got for free? (I don't have an ambassador 3DS, don't even have a 3DS. I have a 2DS)
so in the bios section you say to click the link and that is where all of the files are hosted. so if someone went to the gamecube bios files link and it pulled up a list of like 20 files. does that person need ALL of those files? or is that person looking for a specific file?
If the emulator needs all of those files, then yes, but all of those files are probably different bios versions.

I had planned on downloading tiny best set and just cherry picking ROM, but downloading all the BIOS files??? I think I have an understanding of roms but bios confuse the life out of me

If I got an SD card for Miyoo + with ps1 games already on it, would I just need to copy the ROM since there are already bios files on it? Or do you need a bios and rom download for every game? I don’t understand any of this 😭 I feel like your video is helpful and I’m just dumb lol
You can backup the bios files, those are fine, the roms are typically bad quality and will give you issues (ex. Not saving in Pokemon). I'd replace those. But I do have a dedicated Miyoo Mini Plus guide that shows all of this to help you!
@@JoeysRetroHandhelds sorry I should’ve specified, I got a new sd card with onion already on it, I just didn’t set it up myself It’s not the stock card, but I’d like to add a few more games
I would just skip to that part of the guide, but it's as easy as just adding new games to each platform folder on the sd card.

Sir help me please, how do I organize my files? Nobody has straight up shown their organization for Android. Like how their files setup look. AFTER I found all the ROMs for my Retriod Pocket 4 pro: for example, on my Chromebook SD card I have the Games folder, (click into it )> 3DS (click into it)> Fire Emblem Echoes - Shadows of Valentia (USA) (En,Fr,Es) zip (its zipped) (click into it)> Fire Emblem Echoes - Shadows of Valentia (USA) (En,Fr,Es).3ds. Can I leave it like this order and it will work? Or do I have to take the last one the one ending in ".3ds" and put it in place of the ".zip" file and delete the ".zip" after?
Also for neo geo everyone says to put the BIOs neogeo zip file in with the neo geo ROM folder. Is that all? Cause mine is going to look like this Example: Games folder> NeoGeo> kof97 zip, Garou_ Mark of the Wolves zip, neogeo zip. Do I leave it like that and it will work?

Hey, 3ds needs to be unzipped. Not familiar enough with neogeo sorry. I show Rom organisation in my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro setup video and also have written guides on my website.

Lol I feel soo non-techie with this stuff at times like reading some of the other guides my brain turns smokey like gon from Hunter x Hunter.
@@tommyg4842 Looked it up, don't see anything weird for Neogeo. Use the Finalburn Neo core and put the neogeo bios in the same folder as the other bios files (retroarch/system folder).

you! I did as you said kept the bios inside the neo geo folder and used the final burn one. I got lucky with most of my roms having “uni bios” already in it so I can put blood on and go into change the difficulty in mslug. I believe it does other stuff it’s like having the arcade cabinet controls I’ll have to research more later THANKS JOEY I appreciate you man!
BIOS files are illegal and copyrighted content... Unless you're a TOTAL CHAD like Sharp and you freely distribute the Sharp X68000 bios in the public domain. I love you Sharp!

you did not say which bios is for ps2. I have so many bios files for ps2 I dont know which one to choose. You dont explain that.
There isn't one, the emulator will pick from your folder.
You can choose any of them in the emulator.

hi i followed your guide about rg35xx garlic os installation but im having a problem assigning drive letter on FAT32 Partition no matter how many times i tried i alway endup seeing just one drive on window explorer... so i was unable to backup CFW,BIOS AND ROMS folder.
tried the process again with different PC and SD cards but no luck. im at lost been trying to make it work for 3 days now.
PLS. I NEED HELP I JUST WANT TO PLAY AND ENJOY MY RG35XX😢😢😢

Achievements are those that want a cookie for doing something. You should only do anything because you want to and cause you enjoy it not to get a fake ass trophies that no one care about. Ooooooo you played Pokémon on hard mode 20 times platinum trophy! whoopie doo!! just enjoy the dang game!
I don't see the point of any this if i need a copy of the game and console itself i understand its illegal to basically distribute it for free but if i had access to the console and games i wouldn't see a reason in playing it on my pc if i even had one of those lmao i looked into this because i was interested in how the steam deck advertises this as feature but still whats the point? 600$ for crappy handheld system that i can't survive an couple hours of battery charge and can't even run ps3 game well and i need to spend another 1000$ if i wanted the roms for all the Pokémon games i want lmao so pointless
