Excellent review as always guys!
Looks different from the rest plus it’s made in JAPAN. Me like 👍🏼
Me like.
Micah is so much cooler than Doug demuro. Micah should have 4 million subs
Totally agree! I can't stand Demuro, he makes so many mistakes that I don't think he's as knowledgeable as he wants you to think he is.
I rarely watch a Doug video. He’s an entertainer, not an auto expert
@@skoprowskiHe reviews an absurd amount of cars. You can’t expect him to remember every single detail. Remember that Doug is reviewing cars from the past 40 years, 2-3 times a week. Micah is just doing new ones and is going off of provided press materials.
Doug is just straight up annoying. Micah is chilled out and cool.
Doug knows about cars. He used to be a writer for autotrader.
I was park next to a soild color last night pearl white with blk contrast definitely 🔥 🔥 🔥 not really a fan of the two tone look but overall its dope
That's a dang nice car.
Enjoyed your output this last year. Looking forward to seeing what you do in '24. In the meantime have a great Christmas.
Wonderful video thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching, Kelvin!
Fresh and funny (relevant) review...as always:)! Thank you...
Bro has good driving skills while explaining
Its sick how he didn’t get any fine
I’ve been waiting for this review. I kinda like the look of the 👑. So yeah as a guy with back issues I purchased a BMW 230i thinking It’s being low to the ground wouldn’t be an issue. I was wrong 😞. I panicked and stopped in at CarMax to see what they’d offer to take it off my hands. Being a 2024 with only 500 miles they said they had no info to give me a quote so they just “came up with a number”. After waiting an hour for the appraisal they had an offer. 5k more than what I paid for it! What!!!! I was like sold! Now I’m going to be very sure before I buy another car.
I don't think these are selling like crazy, so it probably wouldn't be impossible to take one for a longer drive without them giving you a hard time.
None of this happened.
The upcoming Signia makes a lot more sense.
I have the 2024 XLE, which is like the other crowns, only without the extra bells and whistles. It drives and handles excellent, and it gets 40+ MPG, it is comfortable, spacious and after learning how to use the (gadgets) is a fun car to drive.
If I got this, I'd go with the Limited trim for the gas mileage. I also do not want low profile tires, so I'd stick with the 19-inch wheels.
💯 percent.
That is the same trim I would get also the limited
Are 19" wheels the smallest you can get? That's still pretty big IMO for this type of vehicle. Wonder if 18s or even 17s would fit and could help reduce weight and increase range perhaps (not to mention be a bit more comfortable).
Looks so cool
Hope u can test drive the Crown Signia soon
At 6'2", is it a good size cockpit area?
very curious to see how the force-4 4WD system would fair on snowy roads 🌨
Its cool looking.....I like the 2 tone color variations.
I admit I don't know who its for? 🤔
If you had a Subaru Legacy and wanted something
the same but different..ya know?
The clown sedan is for Toyota girls who don’t know anything 😂
Going to test drive a limited today with hubby who’s 6’2 and a Honda employee.
Our kids are older so the Signia is not a necessity. This year have had Jeep GC Summit 4xe wanted to love but it dangerously turned off 4 occasions while driving dealing with lemon now. Husband has accord but finds it extremely uncomfortable for his back and on bad back days impossible to drive. I can’t even get in and out with bad hip.
Didn’t like the Pilot new design like a low boat.
Looking forward to Crown mpg and luxury detailing for our mature family.
I think the Crown Signia will be the family rock star. A shame they aren't bringing the Crown Sport
Love these reviews and am interested in the Signia because wagonoid hatchy suv thing.
very nice car well done Toyota
I wish there's a cornering light!
there isnt. but there is auto levelling light
This car in black is stunning
awesome features in this car.
12:42 I like the base XEL trim Micah 😂😂😂
Family time!!!!! Good morning auto world.
I wonder if Toyota would consider giving it an electric platform/configuration.
13:25 I remember the Kia Stinger came out and everyone was all excited and then dealers marked them up and no one bought them and now they’re canceled lol
i want this vehicle
I want one so bad
Beautiful! Someone has to build a Buick Park Avenue. Full marks for Kiddo's sartorial choice.
Yes! I am just waiting for a park avenue.
i like the car! but id get a different vehicle shopping in that price range
Your kiddo with that hairstyle is giving me Kirsten Dunst from Interview W/ A Vampire vibes.
Micah, Good news, just about everything wrong with the Crown sedan will be made right with the upcoming Crown Signia CUV/SUV/Wagon😁😁 Merry Christmas!🎄🎄🎄
No it won’t 😂. The crown signia is another pointless vehicle that’s bound to die next year like the venza
Quirky but AWD ❄️☃️
Darn shame its not a hatchback
That'll be the Crown Signia.
That will be the upcoming 2025 Crown Signia.
Just curious, why do people always say that in the comments?
@@jonathangerm I suppose it's because hatchbacks are pretty cool and practical.
thats why its called Crown “sedan” 😂
Would have loved to see greater ground clearance on a sedan. Sounds interesting
This is the closest toyota to a lexus
No. The Venza might be closer
Sad that the Venza is going away 😢
I'm waiting for the Signia to drop in, maybe that will lower prices for the Venza and then I can get the Venza.
Cool car, need a wagon or hatch version.
Love the Crown…just want an option for gas and FWD with lower price…not holding my breath…a real shame!!!
Base cloth seats look decidedly low-rent. Would like to see a leather option on the XLE.
Also, like most Toyotas, rear doors don't open up far enough.
Hard to find one not crash tested yet and at $15 plus per quart of oil for oil changes is high
I think it looks nice from the front, but Lady Muzio is right about that clown faced rear. The inside looks pretty bland so unless the tech about its drive train is bullet proof, I see no way to justify the price. Thanks Muzios, looking forward to more!
What happened to the arm rest test!?
He did the arm rest test, it was 75 in and out.
It seems silly to build a taller car just for a higher hip level. A little additional ground clearance would be so welcome on a dirt road in a national park occasionally or a steep driveway exit to a highly crowned road more frequently.
Yes, missed opportunity to do both. Doesn't have to be as much clearance as an Outback; if that's too much maybe split the difference. Re the tall roof, they're perhaps railing from criticism over many years of the awful Tacoma and not much better 4Runner driving position..... where there is lots of ground clearance but at the expense of a short roof and resulting terrible driving and passenger positions -- they put the seats (virtually) on the floor..... so the driving position is all splayed out very uncomfortable. (They apparently improved this dynamic in the new Tacomas)
Yes. My family has both a 1992 s-10 and a 1965 impala 2 door sedan.
Both of the vehicles have excellent hip levels. You just sit down and rotate yourself in. Full size sedans used to be quite high off the ground- much higher than modern ones. The s-10 is just a perfect truck for daily driving.
USA: We would like the Crown Sport
Japan: We’ll send you all the other ones but the Sport
I think that its a poor replacement for the Avalon! I bought a 2022 Avalon Limited with every option I could find and the cost was $47K. The Crown top of the line is almost $55K. Isn't that time to go to Lexus? I have driven the Crown twice: nice ride but sort of lacks the luxury the Avalon has, I think. Also, I really like a heads-up display and it's not even available, among other things. All in all, I think that its a disappointment. OH, and I do not like the design!
Wish Toyota would send the Crown Sport CUV, the best looking Crown version. I’d trade my car with no hesitation if that were to happen.
That's the crown signia that's coming
@@pinkisforpimps Google the Crown Sport CUV. 😊 Different vehicle makes the Signia look like a hearse.
👍👍👌👏👏🥰🥰
Parents, please give her mic it's going to be more fun!
Toyota Crown summarized: It's @2:28
Would have been better and more usable as a hatch
As someone who got a chance to experience the previous generation Crown overseas, this new one is feels off. The interior definitely isn't premium or luxurious as the previous, and the powertrain isn't as smooth. The styling is also worse, especially the rear. I guess Toyota had to dumb it down or something for the North American market. Kind of a shame.
Boaty McBoatface rollin'
Ridiculous that the XLE doesn't come with a heated steering wheel.... Have to spend a few thousand more to get it! (higher trim level).
Why not just get a Lexus es 350....its basically the same price and quieter to boot.
This isn’t a review - it’s an unctuous advertisement. Also, there’s no such thing as a “base XEL” trim. It’s XLE.
You're right about the base trim. If I said XEL, then I misspoke. Also, I disagree with your assessment of our review but I do give you credit for sliding "unctuous" into the comments. It's nice to see a broad vocabulary on display.
It needs some sort of deck lid spoiler. The back is too round.
It looks nice and I enjoy these uplifted sedans, but it doesn’t feel all that premium. The lower trim engine is noisy and the hybrid is so touchy. Just a bit overpriced and it’s missing the Crown emblem.
Also, their center infotainment is nice and HD, but the driver display seems to be dull both in color and brightness. I do like the animations for driving modes, but the arrangement of icons is a mess compared to the competition.
What's the point of having a car this size with no headroom in the back? What's the the point of having a lifted sedan as opposed to a SUV-?(see AMC Eagle). Perhaps that's why I hardly see any of these things on the road after being out for a full model year.
Full disclosure. The AMC Eagle always seemed kinda cool to me.
Me too, I just didn't be the first one to say it ;)
This car is terribly overpriced
It looks similar to Citroen C5x
If I wasn't looking hard at it, I would think its a smaller version of a Dodge Charger
Please, children are not baby goats (kids). They are children, which were not aborted by the mother
This won't be back for another generation in America
Large sedan with no rear headroom? That's not good Toyota. Those of us over six feet do sit in the rear sometimes. Btw I think XLE not XEL.
Too pricey!!
They are $3,000+ off at my local Toyota dealer. That helps.
Toyota in Japan: Builds nice compact cars for the Japanese market
Toyota in America: Small cars don't sell in America, we must build them big.
Crown entered the chat.
Talk about a car that's BFN (big for nothing).
Tell me you don't understand a market without telling me you don't understand a market.
Not for anyone even slightly above average height. Feels very confining for such a beast.
Toyota Maxima
Yes. Crown is old people's car in Japan 😂
I like it. But definitely not enough to buy one.
4:43 oh great, now I can't un-see it.
How hot does it have to be before your wife removes that head gear?
More like a hatchback
Crown sport is better 😊😊
Me likey! $50,000? Me no likey...
why would anyone buy this when you can get a Honda Pilot Elite for the same price and have way more room and versatility and the same luxuries or more
The premium or luxury marketplace seems to be driven a lot by emotion and aesthetic preference.
@@ALMX5DP and not logic and realizing you can get a lot more for the same price elsewhere
This is why sedans are a dying breed. It’s a shame. I really like them. Sedans just aren’t near as practical. Especially this one. With only 5.8” of ground clearance and low profile tires. Plenty of opportunities to scrape up your car.
@@craigking6749 getting more is only of use if you want or need it. There is not a lot of logic in new premium or luxury vehicle purchases.
Ya, when they are priced the same or more than a loaded 3 row SUV that has the same "luxuries" and AWD and can seat more people and cargo, ya no reason to pick the one @@Jonah-in-Boise-ID
Interior looks basic
A $50k Supa Camry, wow....
This is worse in every way than a Camry
Naveen take your aging Camry for a drive. No one cares.
have you drove it?@@naveenthemachine
@@EchoAccord I did and it was just pointless. I fail to see how it’s better than my v6 Camry XSE in any sort of way
I think the two tone is hideous. Car is otherwise completely inoffensive.
No thank you. Way overpriced. Better and more cost effective options out there. Toyota missed on this in my opinion. 😢
Now I will imagine a clown's mouth every time I pull up behind a Toyota Crown at a stop light. 🤡
The new Tesla model 3 is better than this
“It’s a tall fugly sedan only old people buy and they hardly do”. Instead we should have first launched the Crown Sport, we’re idiots, sorry about that! -Toyota
Such a big car with horrible interior space.
Top of the line trim with no power trunk opener , no Power steering adjustments. Take a look at Toyota Crown RS advanced in Japan. This is junk they are selling in USA.Worst choices of colors.
One of the few Toyotas with abundant supply and offered for sale a few thousand less than MSRP. That tells me it’s overpriced for what it is. A bloated and expensive sedan.
Go get the lexus then 😢
Boring
Micah always stresses his long torso, is it because he has a big head and little arms? It doesn't appear to be the case on video. Weird car anyway.
There are a bunch of us out there like that... flip- flopped proportions, sometimes subtle for others to notice but comparatively short legs and long torso versus the average or norm for our overall (whatever) height. I am long-torso'd as well, at 6 - 0 but there are many people taller than I that don't have the head clearance issues, because they're either more "normally" proportioned (medium-medium), or the other way around, long legs, short torso. Lots of basketball players like that, that don't look all that tall through the window with no head clearance issues, but their seat is way back for the legs and arms.
So he's not a T-Rex?@@springertube
@@RUSH__fan Ha! Can't speak for him but I sort of am!
Wow Micah you really wasted your time with another one of many complete duds from Toyota 😂
This cars just awful no matter how much of a positive spin you put on it. Not to mention the performance is so pathetic 😂
You just can’t give credit where it’s due.
I suggest you keep your comments to yourself
At this point naveen’s comments are just a validation of how amazing the crown is and how successful it will be. Occasionally when he misses to comment on a review for this car, I get worried. But he’s still around as of now, so all good!
@@jshashwat93 no it’s not. The crowns just ugly. The crown in Japan is a proper one imo. This clown lifted sedan looks really ugly and not to mention fewer features than the old Avalon and the fastest crown isn’t that quick
@@naveenthemachinekeep the validation and cope coming. Another channel called “Everyman Driver” just posted a review a few minutes ago. Please give this awesome car some validation there as well. 😊
I’ve never seen such stupidity in the comment section be this consistent over the years. If you really hate Toyota vehicles, then don’t bother watching the videos nor bother commenting. And you comment the second you watch the video, at least that’s what you usually do, and then say stuff that not even the reviewers agree with you about.
Get a life dude. A world exists without commenting on Toyota videos. No one cares about your opinions, proven over time, and none of us want your validation nor do we care how you see Toyota/Lexus.
