Hello World, In this video I'll show you how to hide text behind object in Adobe Photoshop. Many tutorials on text intertwined around flowers are already out there. so to bring some change I thought about this text behind buildings or landscapes. I've seen this effect used in few poster designs. This is very easy method so photoshop beginners can easily follow along.
Try out with your photos and let me know If you create something cool ;)

I've watch several videos about this, and this is the only video that actually worked for me! I think that I follow videos like this easier than videos with a lot of talk, so dont listen to the ones that says the video is difficult to follow. For some no talk is better!
It's really amazing...
Thank you
Simply Superb !!!!!!!
Thank you very much ❤️
Thank You!
bro can i use your backgrond music???
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I miss a passage on the text, because the mask does not cancel me part of the text to hide behind the buildings
Hi, can I ask how using the layer as a mask directly, VS making a group for the layer affect (and then using the mask) affect the masking results?
Sure. Visit this page on my website. I just explained the answer to your question. www.vectorslate.com/?p=1409

So after making a mask on group, you can move or add new text layers or anything without affecting the mask. Even you can move texts. Mask will be there intact.
thanks
You're welcome! ☺
the thumbnail so chillll tho
Bro thanks for this tutorial but.............
If I use brush it erase properly ..........but if use polygonal lasso tool to fill the background it shows like this ( could not fill because the history state does not contain a corresponding layer ) like this it show plzzzzzzzz reply for this
after making the selection, Press Alt+Backspace or Ctrl+Backspace depending on foreground/background color.
and make sure Mask Thumbnail is active.
Question: does this work on objects too? Like let's say apple behind buildings?
This is really nice. Thank you so much!
Nice Video
Thank you!
What app is photoshop app is that? You never told us
It's Photoshop (CC 2015). Mentioned in title and thumbnail too.
This was really hard to follow without voice direction.
Alt+backspace not works bro . Why?
Alt Backspace feels Foreground Color whatever is present at that time. if that's not the case, Is brush tool working inside Mask?
Good vedeo
But this work bone by me befor 10 year.
Thank u
Have u Instagram acc?
Yes. instagram.com/VectorSlate
1:01 I cant do this
Once you add a Layer Mask then Don't forget to Activate that Mask by Clicking on White Mask Thumbnail in Layer panel. Then Make your selections and Fill colors black or white whichever you need. It isn't necessary to use only alt backspace or ctrl backspace. You can use brush or any other method to fill color. As long as it is filling black or white inside mask.
i tried the same method but it ended up taking it away even the orig photo. please tell me what am i missing
Oh come on...just erase it :D
this is cool and all but sir (Vector Slate | Graphic Design) clearly you see Soooo many people are letting you know how difficult this is to follow without voice instructions ....i mean We really like the work, but please understand sometimes visual aaannnd hearing goes a long way....again, cool video so don't think you're not getting your flowers (your praises), but please do another one with voice instructions..
sincerely yours,
Most of the youtube subscribers and visitors.
Yes you are definitely right. I understand that that's why I'm already adding voice overs since my last few videos.
