Wow, I've been looking for a review of this one since Thomann announced it and I think you're the only guy who's made one so huge thanks :) I'm definitely buying it as a present for myself this Christmas and I have some nice upgrades in store for it :)
@@henkbouma9196 Actually I ended up spontaneously buying an old and beaten up OLP MM2 I fell in love with so the JB-62 will have to wait. Anyway the upgrades I had in mind weren't something super special - I bought a direct replacement string-through bridge and ferrules and had also planned to replace pots with Fender ones, possibly adding a series/parallel switch and putting white pickup covers and knobs on it :) But yeah, it will have to wait unless I want the missus to kick me out :D
Thanks for a nice review ! But did you notice back then wether this 4kg guitar had a "neck dive" ? As this model is quite light comparing to JB-75 but the neck is the same with tuners obviously so it really can have a neck dive. I plan to buy this one so I'd be glad to know. There's only 3 reviews of this model on youtube somehow : (
I'm trying to figure out what this looks like in person, the disadvantage to it - is it a similar colour to the Surf Green Affinity? I really like the look of that but it's only available in PJ
The 62-CC is lighter with the poplar body, however, the JB-75 has plenty of sustain and bottom end as the body is made from American Ash,....it is a boat anchor, but built like a tank.
@@OverdriveFunStudio Sorry to hear that. It is the only bass of this color available in lefty, but I'd prefer a "50s cupboard" kind of milder seafoam green.
