Guys, it is cancelled from IRCTC agent while booking with IRCTC agent make sure you give your own number - instead agency entering his number at the booking page. So the customer get the OTP if the ticket need to cancelled. If any one like to know where reply here

It might have been a manual error; the agent could have accidentally canceled the ticket.
I had a similar incident with the IRCTC app a few years ago. After booking tickets, I clicked on the cancel option to see the refund amount. However, there was no confirmation pop-up, and the tickets were canceled immediately with a single click, resulting in a deduction of 400 rupees for 2 tickets. I'm not sure if this is still the case.

During covid time when I had booked ticket it got auto canceled by Railways and I got 100% refund. Need to verify the booking agent as well in this case. Usually arrival & departure does not get printed but on day of boarding e chart is sent via SMS. But good to inquire railways on it.

Come to the point: what she says she booked July 5 from tiruchirapalli to something then the ticket issued as departure time is N.A and arrival N.A this means railway calendar updated every year July that's why shows N.A...

It is true that, ticket is getting issued without mentioning the departure time. When the departure time need to be checked on the date of journey, why not invariably print the time as on the date of booking.

Agent is responsible. Railway department cannot ask the old lady because it's the agent who booked on behalf of the customer. Since running an agency comes under the eyes of law, railway department can sue the agent but not the customer. If ticket is cancelled by agent, agent will get the refund. They will refund to agent bank account through which ticket is booked. The agent charges more money that extra money is his commission. Railway will only refund the ticket amount. The commission is charged by agent. That he won't give back. The actual ticket money also will get refunded only to original bank account through which ticket is booked that is agent bank account..
