Leatherman became my nickname for a few years when I was in my teens. I was at a weekend long party when my friend lost his keys to his car. The car was unlocked so I used my Leatherman to remove the door handle, brought that to a key shop had a key made, back then the door lock was different than the ignition so it only worked on the door, I held my lighter under the key to turn it black with soot, put it in the ignition and then used the file on my Leatherman to remove the parts where the pins from the lock removed the soot. Five minutes later the car started. That’s how I became Leatherman.
I LOVE and appreciate that you offered to give them $20 instead of $5 there was another person I watched that knew the items they were getting were a GREAT deal and they really low balled the poor man (and he was disabled too boot) I will not watch them again. I am so beyond happy that you did this. I realize that everyone is out to make money and everything but come on, doesn't cost anything to be a decent human being, so THANK YOU! it doesn't go unnoticed. have a wonderful week.

The cast iron pieces could possibly from Lancaster County, PA. I live in Harrisburg, PA. When you picked up the salt & pepper shaker girl & boy, you said salt & pepper shakers, I said out loud, No-they are stone people! My younger brother & sister used to make a town with wood building blocks and got out those cast iron “toys” and said they were playing stone people. I am 68; you took me back to my childhood. 😊 Those cast iron pieces are a bit pricy in the antique stores around us.
I love it when you get a good deal on something that you're planning on using for yourself like the wrenches or when you get something that's Jurassic Park and you just love it. I also really like it when like with the cast iron stuff they said Oh how about five bucks and you said no how about 20. I realize this is what you do for a living at this point but being somebody who goes to garage sales on occasion and when I'm there there's usually three or four people that are pretty obviously resellers and they just seem to be buying up anything that's a good deal. It's frustrating as somebody who's just out looking for a good deal for something for myself. Don't blame you I know it's what you do for a living It is what it is. But I really like it when I see you see something like the that cast iron stuff that is I don't know that it's going to be worth a lot of money but that you look at it and you go okay this has got to be worth 3 to $5 per item here and they give you a price like that $5 which was crazy and you instead of going "YES, thank you, SOLD!" You came back and said That's a little low let's go $20, That says a lot about your character and means a lot to me as a viewer.
Seen cookbooks for $2 in a box I would have bought them all read them and realize I'll never be able to make it and buy more books 😂

There was like 6 city wide yard sales within a 20 mile radius this weekend plus 2 church rummage sales! Didn’t have time but did manage to hit rummage sales, one right behind my house, and couple yard sales at lunchtime. Found some vtg JC Penny and Sears jackets with the tags still on them for $1.50 each! Have to be 70’s at least. Like I just bought from the store condition!
Our entire town does it the first Sunday in May, this weekend. I am busy this weekend selling.

I think there were 5 community sales today over 20 individual, and then estate sales. I didn't even get to a community sale, but did get to 2 of the estate sales.
You are very lucky to have quality garage sales by you. If I garage saled for a living I'd be in the soup line. The sales by me are crap. Nothing but clothes and kids stuff.

I went to the best garage sale today! It was to raise money for the local food bank. The guy , who's an antique dealer gets it all for free from cleaning out storage lockers ,and sells for donations. And, they make hundreds for the food bank. I got 2 pieces of carnival glass, some Japanese pottery,an old Kodak instamatic, an English ironstone set, and some other cool things. And, he told me that I missed out on tables full of stuff,since I was there later. It was pretty good!

Buy some junk tools with decent cords when you can get them cheap and save the cord and junk or maybe even part out the tool. Then you will have some cords on hand for tools like that roto-zip. it's not hard to replace the cords on a lot of tools. And who knows maybe the cord will need to replace the next time you will find you have a exact match for that tool.
