I would give Thomas Janes physic 9/10.
One point I missed in the others punishers is the personal narrative, something than this punisher make it so well.
Yes, they executed the personal narrative incredibly well in this movie. It is expected because it is an origin story where as the other movies weren’t.
He definitely had the darkest story of the 4
Facts, his whole family got wiped out..Smh, I would become the punisher myself
For me Thomas Jane was the punisher . He was my introduction to the character. I love berenthal, but it’s just not the same.
He was mine as well..He even added tremendously to the enjoyment of the Ps2 punisher game..
my fav Punisher ,second being John Bernthal 🤝nice vid cuz
Yes sir, there is more to come!
That interrigation scene was taken from the comics. Punisher: War Zone #1
The popsicle scene is straight up out of war zone comic
Thomas Jane is handsome.
Only slightly better than the Lundgren version, both that one & the Jane one made Frank a former cop, that alone threw a wrench into the mythos.
Ya got my subscription bud.
Thank you, I humbly appreciate it
Great detailed stuff! Well articulated.
Thank you, I aim to please
I agree with this rating, I wish we would of got a direct sequel
Yeah man me too… I guess you can count Dirty Laundry as a sequel lol
@@Thepunishermythos yeah I suppose better than nothing lol
I will always defend Thomas Jane as the punisher, especially the THQ game one
I feel you, I was introduced to Punisher through Thomas Jane through the movie and the game
Year One is a muscle car parts company. That license plate was from the company.
I think Thomas Jane's The Punisher should have been a series and not a single movie, not to mention it could have adapted the origins of the comics and continued the series with Frank Castle fighting bad guys and dangerous criminal groups. I liked the movie and thought that choosing Thomas Jane to play Frank Castle was a great. But making a movie that has a short time span, and along with some bad decisions that the director made is what makes everything a big mistake as a Punisher adaptation, unfortunately. Everything could have been different and be remembered as a great classic of the 2000s. But what's done is already done.
No dude, the TV series Frank castle is the bomb
You should check out my Jon Bernthal video of you haven’t already
The Punisher 2004 was a great film
this was well done. I love the Tom Jane film as well as the short film. Warzone is great as well, just zero story and straight punishing.
Dolphs was ok..
Didnt care for the Netflix guy.
Thank you, I really appreciate your sentiments..I will strive to become better and I am surprised that you don’t care for Jon Bernthal lol..
The best Punisher was in the Punisher 2004 game
Yes, it was! I miss it so much!
Needs a remake or a sequel NOW
I'd love to see Tom Hardy , Jason Statham, and Dwayne the " Rock 🪨" Johnson portray the Punisher! Any one of these action actors could definitely kick some serious ass 🤣👏 on the screen!
Year One is not a reference to a comic run, it is a company that specializes in restoration parts for older cars, like Frank's 1968-70 GTO in the film.
Well let’s call it a double entendre lol
Definitely an influential film in the realm of Superhero movies. 7/10 from me.
Yeah for a lot of people, it was their first exposure to Punisher, including myself and I fell in love with the character since.
Frank was Marine Force Recon, today, known as MARSOC and or Raider, either way, it would not be uncommon to cross-train with Navy SEAL’s.
Yes, Frank did cross-train however, in the movie he only mentioned that he worked alongside them, instead of actually being one. Also, in the movie, they said that he was part of a counter-terrorism unit, yet that isn’t comic accurate nor did they mention that he was a Marine in any capacity in the movie.
Jons Bernthals monologue made me feel is pain, Ray Stevenson had a particular Darkness to him that was comic like, Thomas Jane in Dirty Laundry was great, the ex cop thing and taking place in florida was meh, Dolph was a great looking punisher, but nothing surpasses what Bernthal did in season 2 of Daredevil, yes he doesnt look big... but that presence is amazing
Tom J was good.
u don't need to remind about the copyright bro, but otherwise this a solid video
Better safe than sorry lol
Haha . Was the worst portrayal of the Punisher. His acting was cringeworthy! TJ was terrible. Story was ridiculous
😂😂He can’t be that bad lol
And you can do better? I seriously doubt it.
