This is GREAT for the game. Baseball is not a fast paced game and has lots of downtime. Anything baseball can do to make the downtime more interesting to the fans is a smart move.

being 21 years old from pittsburgh weve never really had real superstar besides Cutch to root for, so Trout has always been my favorite player to root for even have a jersey. Thats a ball player, a guy im gonna tell my kids about, so happy to be a fan of this guy for most of my life now, its like we have grown up together

Elite players in every sport have haters. Lebron, Steph, Brady, Mahomes, Harper… tons of haters out there for those guys, but I never encounter Trout haters. They might be out there but they’re few and far between. His authenticity and his character is second to none.

@Element he can't be on the cover for both espically since he has a contract with mlb 9 innings; for example since trout has a contract with nike, can't go out on the field one day and wear under armour, or adidas, it's against his contract and he can most likely be fined or maybe even lose his contract if he were to do that. Another example would be Matt Antonelli im not sure if you watch him on youtube or not but he was a former player for the padres and he had a full contract with nike where eveything he wore and used had to be nike, but the glove he used he simply didnt like it, and well he one day gets a rawlings or wilson glove(can't remember which) and he removes all the logos from it and adds a bunch of nike logos on it so that nobody would notice and he wouldn't get fined, and after a while they notcied I believe they did fine him, and almost terminated the contract however he managed to work out a new deal with them in which he was able to use whatever glove he wanted, from whatever company he chooses to sign with, all while still having all his other gear still be nike excluding his bats as he didn't sign a bat contract with anyone so that he can have free range to use whatever bats he wanted
