- Background: Black
Backgorund around flame: Crimson red, terra cotta/orange, cad yellow, & black
Fire: Crimson red (in the video I accidentally say "Alizarin crimsion"), Cad yellow & white
Candle: Top of the candle is Flesh Tint (ColorbyFeliks), blends into a light blue mix (Prussian blue, white, alizarin crimson). That blends into a darker blue (more Prussian blue)

Wonderful is so relaxing waching you
Glad you enjoy it!
I love your artwork and the way you make the flames look so real on the candles 🕯 blow me away.
I do have a question though, I know you use oil paints by Winsor & Newton, do you need any minerals for the water oils? I paint inside my home and have 2 granddaughter's and I really don't want that in the air.. But would love to try and paint with oil's on top of the acrylic.
Any advice would be welcome.
Thank you again for sharing your talents and being a awesome teacher.
This one was all acrylic paint, but I do have other tutorials where I paint oil over an acrylic underpainting. I do use Winsor & Newton oils - I've recently started using the Artisan Water Mixable Oil and it's just like regular oil paint, except you use soap and water to clean! I love it so far because I don't need all that other smelly stuff lol
Thank you so much for answering this question, because I've been watching all of your tutorials and you are amazing and talented and I wanted to try oil paints without the fumes.
Thank you again.
Excellent.. A simple (and important) explanation. Thank you very much.. Is there a video in which the canvases are prepared before painting?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I don't do anything to the canvas before painting on it. The canvas I use (Fredrix) is pre-primed
