I have to agree Willy Cabellero's passing is out of this world. His assist to a Croatia player in the World Cup group stage match 2018 will always be remembered.
I know right
😂😂😂😂👌👌👏👏👏 Rebic was very pleased with that one 😅
Ah... memories
That's probably his first assist
Oh My God😂😂
In the dictionary: Neuer
Yeah😂🔥
I feel a bit more on Neuer was required.
Interesting that the video foreshadows Bravo's disappearance.
The only sweeper keeper I knew 🤣
You mean higuita
Victor Valdes (not a Barca fan)
For Suarez, the goalie is the first attacker but the striker first goalie ;)
Venom Gaming that was deep
To soon
I don't get it
100 de abonati fara video-uri suarez used his hands in a game against ghana i believe to stop a goal and got sent off
@@markmarkmarkfr that pissed me off Ghana deserved to go to the semi's
Manuel Neuer...simply the best.
dark killer I wasn't talking about England lol.
+dark killer well, we are talking the world here little englang boy ;) go and watch some euro leaugue
hexagon523 lol
Yes😍
I can’t believe this tifo guy 🙄
Spends six minutes talking meaningless bs stats about mediocre keepers in the Premier League while Neuer remains a footnote.
Criminal.
Doing South America some justice: José Luis Chilavert, Rogério Ceni and René Higuita played sweeper keeper as early as the 1990s. And they also were free kick / penalty takers.
And Jorge campos 🇲🇽
Would love to watch a video about various Goalkeeper styles and general category of GKs.
there are just 2 distinct styles currently and its very likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future. and little can be said about the traditional GK since it has almost no tactical properties.
Sovereign There is also the 11th outfielder where the keeper will have a very high starting position and will play like a cb when their team is on the ball
Thats thiago motta trying to invent sort of a 2-7-1
HAHAHA he retired once the rule was changed
He was 35 then
It's still funny
@@sarajlija5237 that's still pretty young for a keeper
Omkar Nagarhalli nah its not young but still not old
@@omkarnagarhalli5217 yeah but they didn’t live as long as we did so it was kinda old
A video about sweeper keeper and only mentioning Manuel Neuer in half a sentence? Topic missed.
Disty absolutely agree
Just like the other video "The Raumdeuter" where he starts with Thomas Müller then the rest of the video is all about Dele Ali for some reason !!
English people would never give German players the recognition they deserve
@@tcherkess9695 It's not really about Dele Alli, so much as it is about how Muller's example and talents have led to others being successful using the same skillset. Dele Alli is the most successful of them, so he's mentioned more.
agree
The best sweeper keeper is neuer
He is kind of the living definition of a sweeper keeper
The best keeper*
@@tbmystic5191 no, he is after his prime, falls behind next to oblak and courtois right now
living legend
Who's your favourite Keeper? I enjoyed Harry Kane in goal that time..

uMAXit Football van der sar or ochoa

He lets in a lot of goals which makes for entertaining football viewing.
These are so amazing it's unreal how this channel hasn't blown up yet.
Outstanding video. This channel is poised for greatness.

how can I not sub to this channel after such a great work being done one each video, it sure took you along time to do, keep it up, and i should thank you as a soccer fan, my only regret is not to be able to like your videos more than once
Yeah, everyone remember THAT sweeper-keeper moment of Claudio Bravo... one of the best red card ever...
Wow this aged well
I recently subscribed to this channel and am now seeing what all things I've missed. These videos are outstanding. Thanks a ton, and keep up the good work! :)
What a wonderful video. This is teaching material for every keeper academy! Thank you. We shall use this a lot. Keep up this great work
Great information. Didn't think much of that position in that sense. Gives me a greater appreciation for the sweeper keeper.
Any chance on a video on how Johan Cryuff changed football/total football or has it already been done, great videos as always.
Rinus Michels was just lucky to be the coach then. Cruyff changed the way of play, decided about the line-up, changed formation in-game etc. Michels role was important if you talk about the disciplinary part, but all football related is down to Cruyff. Sereval players told this lately in Dutch media, after Cruyff's dead.
Sweeper Keeper great to listen to.
I just want to keep watching you write stuff, it's so satisfying to watch
Hopefully speroni's contribution will be remembered one of my favorite goalkeepers
Love this channel. I subbed right away. You deserve more subs sir.
These have all been fantastic. Subscribed for sure
Cheers Dillon!
Keep the great content coming!!
Nice to watch a sweeper keeper history well explained....
This channel deserves way more subs
ure doin an amazing job buddy ! keep up the good work
Love your channel! Amazing!
Cheers Christian!
Immaculate penmanship sir!
Useful info as always, I always watch these videos then incorporate the tactics into football manager
Top man! Does it work? - Danny
Yeah, they work really well. Have like 3-4 effective tactics that work in each league across Europe
best football channel on youtube
Only now that I’ve truly begun investigating football tactics do I understand how great Cruyff was!
Szczesny?? Woow, mindblown.....
yes, unfortunately Wenger wasted him
Although I play football for recreation only I primarily play as a keeper. This video was so useful
Deklan T Smith Manchester United are shit
Great content guys! May I ask what's the software used for creating the videos?
Great stuff guys. Keep it up
Cheers man!
great video!! oh, and can you please explain the total football tactics of Cruyff?
Great job! keep it up
Thank you!
Ederson looks super good this season
Please do more tactics explained! Such as formations.
Nice explain
can you explain the diamond in midfield formation?
No mention of Van Gaal who gave career debuts to both Van Der Sar and Victor Valdes. He also used Jasper Cillesen for the national team and Sergio Romero for AZ. Interesting that his contribution is overlooked.
Very informative video...great work...subscribed...😄😄😄
Thank you Anup!
Since the departure of Bravo, Ter Stagen has been quite brilliant in sweeper keeper role for Barcelona
Short vids and loads of information? Welcome to the best football channel 💪🏻🔥🔥🔥
amazing, i didnt understood why he didn't kept Hart in the Gk position, thanks a lot
Only two clean sheets for Manchester City all season though.
And lots, lots of mistakes, yep im aware of it :'(
Ouuhh looks like I found a gem of a video! and channel. subbed! nowadays, I prefer to play FM than FIFA so this info gives a fresh insight about the teams I'm managing. just for roleplay sake ;)
You mentioned Johan Cruyff and his keepers but did not mention that the first modern sweeper keeper was Stanley Menzo of Ajax Amsterdam and current coach of Ajax Cape Town. He laid the blueprint for Edwin van der Saar
Brilliant stuff. Came up in my recommended videos. Subbed :)
Recommended video
( Manuel Neuer - The most underrated defender
I am IN LOVE with this channel. Can I give you money?
Brilliant
Really interesting stuff, you've earnt yourself a sub bud.
Thanks!
His Mr mungus, how is your health?
Amazing video! I bet if stats were updated, Ederson would boss them all
Ederson, Allison, Kepa
hugo lloris is underrated
no he is not.. he just plays for tottenham
savage
the word underrated is overrated, te guy plays for one of the best clubs in england, and france national team, how do you call that underrated?
João P they are in the top ten
They are challenging for title for last two seasons, so yes I think they are one of the top teams in england.
Lmao, the moment I hear sweeper keeper, I instantly think of Manuel Neuer
Great video, very interesting but talking about sweeper keepers and not including colombian goalkeeper Higuita...?
I think the sweeper keeper trend increased after 1992 when FIFA implemented the rule that the keeper cannot pick up the ball after a player intentionally pass back the ball to him. SO when the keeper gets the ball from his teammates, he creates plays and passes more with his feet
These videos are so beautiful
Great Video excellent explanation!!!....Let's not forget Rene Higuita in the eighties and nineties or Argentine great Hugo Gatti before him.
Thanks Juan!
You can make a video explaining things a goalkeeper does during games that fans cannot see, like directing the defense line etc.
In simple terms, a sweeper keeper controls the space behind the defensive line by pushing up and staying as close to it as possible and activelly partisipates in launchig attacks acting as an eleventh outfield player. The first sweeper keeper of sorts was Lee Richmond Roose, and eccentric but talanted goalie for Stoke and Sunderland among others, from 1895 to 1912./ Проще говоря, страхующий вратарь контролирует пространство за линией обороны, выдвигаясь вверх и оставаясь как можно ближе к линии защиты, и активно начинает атаки как одиннадцатый полевой игрок. Первым в своем роде вратарём-дворником был Ли Ричмонд Рус, эксцентричный, но талантливый вратарь «Стоука» и «Сандерленда» с 1895 по 1912 год.
what about colombian renee higuita is he include the category of sweeper keeper or else?
At 3:48, you say there are 15 keeper sweeps attempted or game. At 4:36 you say Speroni leads with 1.36 per game. What am I missing? Does that 15/game number include all sweeps, even by outfielders?
What's the song at the end of the video?
Rene Higuita has been forgotten 😭😢
I'm not sure if I understand the concept correctly: is the sweeper keeper also supposed to act as a defender when the difensive line is really high? Or you call that only a keeper that partecipates to the gameplay? If it's the first case, you're not giving enough credit to Jongbloed (first in doing so) who was an essential for the amazing total football!
fuck this.... let me just subscribe to this channel! I've been waiting ages for a channel like this!!!
what's about rene higuita
I can’t believe this tifo guy 🙄
Spends six minutes talking meaningless bs stats about mediocre keepers in the Premier League while Neuer remains a footnote.
Criminal.
Youre probably a bayern fanboy. Everyone knows neuer is a sweeper keeper. He was talikng about some other keepers with a similar style. And of course he will talk about tactics,he is literally a tactical analysis channel.
@@ishangoyal2385 thanks for your idiotic response in defending this CZcamsr. You must be a City fanboy then.
@@kylefrank5016 what nonsense! What does City have to do with that?!
my finger teleported to the like button after seeing julian speroni
ManI love this shit even though I felt i was in a classroom
It is also called a Libero Keeper. And offside rule also influenced this role.
Make a video about which of the top 5 leagues is the best and explain why.
That would be more of an opinionated video as opposed to factual/educational, which is what the Whiteboard Football series strives to be
uMAXit Football okay. Love your channel, my favorite on youtube
Thank you buddy! You've ended my Monday on a high!
uMAXit Football Np! How about an episode about the rise of fall of Blackpool?
We'll put it on our ever growing list of ideas!
Roose was Irish and played Gaelic football as a child which made him so comfortable carrying the ball to the halfway line
Neuer is the 🐐
I'm an Arsenal supporter & I follow RM but I think Hugo Lloris is the best goalie at the moment. Overall the most consistent goalie , such a shame he's not at a bigger club like RM (Navas is good but not Lloris's level) or PSG (aware he's a Lyonnais legend). If I had to rank my top 5: I. Lloris II. De Gea III. Neuer IV. Buffon V. Oblak.
can you do Newcastle United 96 ?
Anyone know where i can find more of this music?
Click link in description and there's an album at least of this artist's music.
What about Apostol Sokolov who was the inspiration of Lev Yashin for this stile of playing? ;) I would also add the name of Vladimir Beara as well...
Dear, how can I notice when I should sweep up to clear the ball without hesitate with defenders?
It's crazy that u didn't talk about Barthez, who is the most memorable Sweeper keeper of history !
I see Hugo, I like. It's that simple
Speroni was a class keeper!
Do something on Caribbean players who played in England
shaquille sheppard they suck!
Toldo during his time in fiorentina also considering as sweeper keeper
top vid
Top lad.
is it made with videoscribe?
Joke Fart was dropped by Pelligrini for Pantilimon. 2nd point Bravo won 2 Copa America trophy and the Zamora award.
nice work do zlatan ibrahimovic
Why nobody talks about Jorge Campos? man, he even played as a *_STRIKER!!_*
typo perhaps.. you state that there 14-15 sweepings per game. But the leaders in this area average less than 1.5 per game. That would be, best case, less than 3 per game and not 14-15. Learned a lot from this one, but these numbers confused. Thanks.
What program allows you to make videos like this???
Rule 8: I'ma end this man's whole career
underrated comment
No mention of Tommy Lawrence?
Lloris and Neuer stand out as the 2 best sweeper keepers for me. I actually regard Lloris as the premier leagues best keeper on all round ability. He can do it all, and also captain his team from the back.
What die u say
Imo Sweeper keeper will never be a norm. It does not provide that much benefits in relation to the risk it carries. I was 11 years old and remember watching Rene Higita at the Italia 90 being a pioneer of the role. I was absolutely a fan of it until Roge Mila made him pay and destroyed my fantasies. Critical moment for the sweeper keeper case, which otherwise could have started right then, instead for wanting Manuel Neuer to re-represent. The latter is a fantastic goalkeeper but not for that spacific ability. Trust me, it will never be a massive thing, unfortunately
Valdes was one of the most successful and early sweeper keeper
All I see is speroni. What a guy. Coyp
