- At Humza Yousaf's 1st First Ministers' Questions, Pam Duncan-Glancy asked the First Minister what the Scottish Government’s response is to the poverty statistics published last week in the report, “Poverty and Income Inequality in Scotland 2019-22
Mr Yousaf went on to list all the help the Scottish government are doing to help people in Scotland and then blamed the UK government.

For this system of debate to be fully successful the questions need to be delivered without prior warning but with the element of surprise then the first minister would have to reply without reading from a script, that way we would see how competent he really was under pressure, this would be far more interesting.

The SNP pledged to tackle child poverty 15 years ago as party of their manifesto..... And then did nothing about it for 14 years! Even after the introduction of the child poverty act.
Now, the give with one hand, added child care money, while they take with the other..... Middle class families to paying higher tax, in more tax brackets, soon than normal.... And all individual tax deductions, all tax bracket thresholds, are fixed to benefit the Scottish govt in times of increased inflation..... Like now.
Children, working families, will be even poorer in 2-3 years with SNP tax policy...... Pay more, for reduced service levels from central govt.... Who now push more and more responsibility over to local councils, who are expected to raise funding locally....... That'll be increased rates locally, for residents and businesses alike

When The SNP first took power The UN gave Scotland a £25,000,000 to help ease child poverty. That Money went to keep an election promise of not raising the council tax.
