Had car in for service and mot last week and had asked Audi Poole, if they could open the glove box as the lock was broken, they said the only way was to break the glove box and charge me over £700 for a new one.I refused. I Told them that I had Seen a video some years ago about opening the box, but they insisted it couldn't be done..So the next dayI found your video followed the instructions and within less than a min opened the glove box and no damage. Thanks for sharing your video, just looking for a new handle now :)
👍👍 haha nice one , glad it helped! The handles are about £50 off Audi 🙈
Mine got broken yesterday and managed to open it with the help of your video. Thanks
You're welcome!
Great video, thanks for letting us all know how to get over what for us could have been a serious problem. Not many RHD replacement locks available now unless you are happy to pay £90 on eBay ….. for something that might be a Chinese copy and may not work properly. Keep on doing what you do :-)
Glad it helped

i cant get the lock to come out ...
there's normally really easy to get out, unless its been glued in for some reason
Yo .. Me again! .. I got another question! Its the 2001 A4 B5 avant. This time its rear brakes. Specifically, i need to change the discs and pads / one slider on the off side .. BUT ... I can't get the calliper carrier off. Its attached by 2 8mm hex head bolts that go in to the hub. They are so seized that even with a breaker bar i've sheared off the head of a socket wrench and now totally stripped the internal hex on the bolt head. What are my options? Penetrating fluid and heat did no good, neither did brute force. I feel like I am at the point where I have to take an angle grinder to the carrier but even then I'd still have to get the threads out of the hub itself. Should I drill through the hex bolts and then retap the threads before replacing with all new bits? The calliper itself is fine although one slider bolt is rounded off and ill have to cut that off with a grinder. Help!
I’ve had this happen before! It want a c*** 😬 it chopped the bolt head off with a grinder so I could remove the carrier then heated the hub and removed the bolt with some mole grips .. one came out like that and the other I welded a nut the the bolt so I could work it with a bar while heating it
@@diydaly lol. Nice! Ok luckily i can weld..i will give all that a go. Thanks alot for the reply, really appreciate the time.
